Alfonso ripped his hand off my grasp as he staggered back. “Don’t come close to me ever again.” He warned before storming outside away.
I sat down there my mouth gaping like that of a fish taken out of water. I thought men liked it when women were like this— Bold, Atleast that’s what I’ve read in books.
I didn’t want to acknowledge it but the fact that Alfonso just rejected me stung a lot.
Was I that bad? Or maybe I wasn’t his type?
I sat for a while in his room before Jamal came in and assisted me to my room. I didn’t hear from Alfonso that night again till I went to bed.
I heard from one of the body guards that he went to the other house to stay the night and he would come back by morning.
The following morning, as I came out of my room, I saw a girl step out with her hair all over the place and her lipstick looking smudged, her zipper was half done and she tried to tame her hair down before her eyes landed on me.
“Hi, you must be his sister.” She said cheerfully, as she hurried to my side.
Her red hair was in large curls and her siren eyes complemented her green orbs perfectly that were protected by long lashes, her full lips were coated with smudged red lipstick. She was wearing a black halter neck dress that covered very little parts of her breast with her back bare and it went past her butt a bit but it accentuated her long legs perfectly.
She was really gorgeous and I couldn’t help but get jealous at the fact that Alfonso liked her but not me.
“Who are you?” I asked as my eyes raked down her body once again.
“Just someone.” She said with a shrug and a wink before sauntering downstairs.
Just then Alfonso stepped out too, he had on just a sweat pant, with no shirt on.
“Really?” I asked making him notice me.
I swallowed the lump that was beginning to form in my throat as my eyes stung with tears.
A frown formed on his face as he glanced downstairs before looking back at me. “Excuse you?”
“We are married Alfonso.” I yelled. “And you brought in another woman?”
“I already told you Priscilla, a man’s got needs.” He groaned.
“And yet you refused to touch me last night.” I yelled louder.
“Can you not do this here? Everyone can hear you.”
“Oh, you mean your fling?” I laughed dryly.
“Behave yourself Priscilla.” He warned.
“No, you behave yourself, how can you even lecture me when you are the one who just cheated.”
At this, he got angry. “I didn’t cheat on you because I don’t consider you my wife and what is your problem? Are you mad that I didn’t want to sleep with you?”
My face went up in flames at this. “Yes I am and I wanted you to give me an explanation.”
“I owe you no freaking explanation got it? I don’t want you, the sooner you come to terms with that, the better for you.” He said before walking downstairs.
I quietly went back to my room and locked the door behind before moving to the floor. I laid there quietly as my mind wandered.
How long was this going to go on for? One day Alfonso was all sweet and taking care of me and the next, he hated the thought of me. Why did he marry me then? I asked my self for the millionth time.
I don’t even blame him for not wanting me, I’m just a little ordinary girl, his fling was probably more experienced and she looked very beautiful and sexy, so maybe that was the kind of woman he liked, unlike me that had big eyes, short legs, chubby and my face screamed innocent.
I let out a sigh as I felt a tear roll past the bridge of my nose and down my cheeks. Life was unfair to me, very unfair.
I wonder how Parker is doing now. Did he still send another message after that day we spoke or he too forgot about me? My friends would be worried about my whereabouts by now and her family would have to lie about her it.
I missed my family dearly and wished Alfonso would just disappear from my life.
A knock sounded on my door, making me jump. “Who is it?” I asked after getting back myself.
“Miss, I wanted to remind you that your physiotherapy session is by 12.” I heard Jamal say.
“Oh.” My voice came out cracked, causing me to clear my throat. “Thank you, when I’m ready I’ll call you.”
“Alright miss.” He said and I heard his fading footsteps.
Soon after another knock came making me jump again and I groaned. “Who is it now?”
“Miss, I’m here to assist you in taking your bath.” It was one of the maids.
Was Alfonso avoiding me now?
“Can you give me a moment, I’ll call you when I’m ready.” I replied.
“But sir said you should take your bath now so you can come downstairs for breakfast.” She said again.
I scoffed at this. Breakfast my foot. “Well tell him I will take my bath whenever I want to.”
“But miss-“
“Can you please go?” I yelled, she probably gave up after that because I heard her retreating footsteps.
I laid back down to rest my head but the next thing I heard didn’t just make my heart jump, I was sure I had a freaking heart attack.
It was a gun shot.
