Alfonso froze.
And then he dropped me, like really dropped me on the floor. My body fell with a thump as I screamed from the pain.
That seemed to jot him out of wherever his mind went to because he was on the floor with me the next second.
“I’m so sorry, I-I- “ he stuttered as he contemplated touching my leg to combing his hands through his hair. “I told you not to do it that I was going to drop you.”
“I didn’t know you were going to really do it.” I said as a tear ran down my cheeks.
The pain was unbearable.
“I didn’t know I was going to do it either.” He groaned as he carefully carried me.
Another pain shot through my leg and I let out another scream again.
“f**k, A doctor, you need a doctor.” He panicked as he quickly took his phone from his pocket to probably call one.
“Come to the mansion, Now.” He said before cutting the call and attempting to help me up once more.
This time around He was able to carry me without any jotting pain. he carried me into the room, dropping me on the bed before examining my leg.
“Where does it hurt?” He asked gently pressing on it.
“Right above my knees.” I answered as I pressed my eyes shut.
My leg was throbbing.
“I’m sorry, you caught me off guard.” He apologized again.
This made a light laugh escape me. “I think the pain is all worth it since I got to hear you apologize.”
This made him roll his eyes. “Shut up.”
“The almighty Alfonso saying sorry? Yeah I could extend this pain.”
“Stop making it sound like I don’t know good from bad.” He muttered.
“Do you though?” I asked and he looked at me sharply.
It was at that moment I knew I messed up.
“The doctor will be hear soon, I’ll go check.” He said in a cold voice before standing up and on his way out, he banged the door loudly.
What was his problem?
I gently massaged my legs to reduce the pain but it was so painful that at one touch, my pain receptors flared.
The doctor came in three minutes later, he was the same doctor that treated me at the hospital and I think he was a family doctor because I’ve seen him quite a few times around the house.
He checked the leg, applied mentholated ointment to my knees and then prescribed some pain relief medicines as though the ones I was taking already weren’t enough.
“What exactly happened?” He asked as my eyes drifted to Alfonso who looked away clearing his throat.
“I fell, I wanted to use the bathroom but slipped.” I replied.
“You have to be careful miss, I would recommend a nanny, to assist you for the time being-“
“I can take care of her myself.” Alfonso cut him off before walking out.
The doctor gave me a small nod before following him out.
Rude ass human, doing a very good job taking care of me.
I laid on the bed for a while before drifting off to sleep. When I woke up, the blanket was over me and my wheel chair was by my bed, but there was no sign of Alfonso.
He probably went out, I thought.
So I called for one of the maids to help me to the bathroom. After that, Jamal helped me down the stairs before helping me on the wheel chair.
Alfonso already prepared food for me before leaving so I quietly ate my food and took my meds before going to the sitting room.
I turned on Netflix on the big flat screen that hung on the wall of the sitting room. I watched two Korean drama on it before Alfonso finally came home.
“Alfons—“
My blood ran cold as I saw the scene before me. The white shirt Alfonso wore was covered in blood stains and he looked very angry, he didn’t even acknowledge me.
I stayed in the sitting room alone as my mind went to different places, why was he covered in blood and why did he look so angry?
After about 30 minutes later, Jamal took me upstairs and I went to his room to see him. When I got there, he already changed from the blood stained shirt to a clean white tee and grey sweatpants, he was sipping probably whisky from a glass.
“It’s late, why aren’t you in bed?” He asked in a quiet voice as he stared ahead.
“Well, I was waiting for you.”
“Why?” He asked making me go quiet.
Exactly.
Why? Why was I disturbed at the fact that he came home in a bad mood? Maybe because I needed questions. I told myself but I knew very well that wasn’t the reason.
“I don’t know, you came home in a blood stained shirt, looking very angry so I wanted to know what happened.” I replied.
“It’s none of your business Priscilla, that shouldn’t concern you.” He said coldly looking me dead in the eye before looking away.
“It’s my business when I’m your wife.” I shot back.
“Let’s not go there tonight.” He sighed gulping the remaining drink in the glass before turning a new one.
“So why are you keeping me here? If you don’t want to acknowledge the fact that I’m your wife?” I asked, my voice raising a bit.
“I really don’t want to fight with you Priscilla. I already told you what we are and secondly, you can’t satisfy me Priscilla, remember that.” He said the last part in a low voice.
“That’s not the only job of a wife and how do you know that?” I asked, gulping. “How do you know that I can’t satisfy you?”
“Well look at you, you look so innocent, I bet no man has ever even touched you.” He snickered making me glare at him.
“That’s what you think.” I shrugged, pretending not to care that I was embarrassed by the fact that no man has actually touched me before.
But my response made his eyes snap to me, those beautiful eyes.
“Who?” He asked, staring at me intently.
“None of your business, that shouldn’t concern you.” I said using his word against him.
I was about to turn and head to my room when in an instant, he suddenly pulled me from my chair and unto his lap.
Where did he touch you?” He asked in a raspy voice, his eyes staring into my soul now.
“Alfonso, what are you-“
“Kiss me.”
