Amelia's eyes were unfocused. They lingered on Joanna for half a second before moving away. She didn't feel much about Joanna "betraying" her. Joanna hadn't expected Amelia to arrive so soon. She looked awkward for a moment, her eyes darting around before she quickly went over and started pushing Amelia's wheelchair from behind. "Amelia, when did you get here? Why didn't you say you were coming? Trevon and I would've come out to meet you. " Joanna spoke as softly and gently as ever, feigning deep sisterly affection. Amelia gave a mocking twist of her lips. "Trevon has no time for me, does he? He has to look after his daughter, and now he has that woman who looks just like his ex—wife. As for me, his sister… I'm unimportant, I can just fend for myself.
