I stood at Grandpa Benedict's door, ready to knock. It had been a whirlwind of a week, but now it was time to leave. As I raised my hand, I muttered under my breath, "Maybe I should try my luck, and see if grandpa Benedict could help me with my father's company."
I knocked on the door, and Grandpa Benedict opened it a moment later, a smile on his face. "Lanre," he said, his voice warm and welcoming. "Are you ready to leave?"
I nodded, feeling a smile of my own spreading across my face. "Yes, Grandpa," I said. "I just wanted to say thank you for having us. And... I wanted to say something else."
Grandpa Benedict's eyebrows arched in curiosity. "What's that, Lanre?" he asked, motioning for me to come inside.
I stepped into Grandpa Benedict's study, taking a deep breath as I did.
