~Joanna I hung the last piece of laundry on the clothesline, my hands raw and red from the harsh detergent. It wasn't ideal, sure, but the charade was necessary. "Joanna!" I turned, smiling at the sight of my friends, Pamela and Sandra, walking up the driveway. "Hey, girls," I greeted them, wiping the sweat off my forehead. "What the hell are you doing?" Sandra exclaimed, her face twisted in shock. "Joanna, what are you doing?" Sandra exclaimed, her eyes widening at the sight of me doing laundry. "You're a billionaire and a CEO, for crying out loud! Why didn't you get a housekeeper?" I smiled, brushing off her concern. "Oh, you know, just trying to save a little money," I said, my tone light and airy. "But enough about me. How are you two doing?" I hugged them both, feigning warmth
