Andy was nervous. He couldn't even hide it. Annie had been looking, trying to make sure he doesn't accidentally burn himself. Besides Annie, there were two people helping out. One woman whose name was Mino and a teenager whose name was Alex. It's eight thirty and Andy had already made fifty donuts, seventy croissants and tons of shortbread. He had also made trays and trays of the lemon pineapple poke cake and the pineapple upside down bundt cake. Andy wanted to get the dessert buffet ready. The display was already set, cupcakes already sitting on the long table, cookies and the few pies Andy had made this morning when he couldn't calm down. "You're going to have a heart attack if you don't calm down." Annie said as she made her way towards Andy. At the rate he was going Andy knew she was right. He pulls out a stool and fell into it. He pushed his face into his hands and tried to take deep breaths. Andy hasn't seen nor heard from Isaac for eight hours now. Andrea had pulled them away from each other the previous night at twelve midnight. She had taken Isaac's phone, apparently, there was something he had to do before being sworn in as a king. "The programmer starts at ten and you're almost done. All that's left are the cake loaves and cinnamon rolls. I can watch over it while you go and get ready." Annie said. "I hope he's okay. I want everything to go well for him." "It's quite adorable that all these nerves are for him." Annie said as she softly rubbed his back. One of the ovens let out a loud ping and Alex pulled out the large pan, oven mitts already on. The cake loaves were done. "I'll do the icing and toppings for the loaves and you can take over the cinnamon rolls." Andy said to Annie who nods. After a few minutes, Andy got up and Mino hands him a piping bag of icing. Andy waits a few more minutes, making sure the cake was cool enough for the frosting. He artfully decorating each loaf, Annie assisting by adding the strawberry, blueberry, cherry onto the cakes. Once he was done, Andy with the help of Mino and Alex take the various trays of cake to the buffet table outside. The after party was to be held in the gardens. That's where the pastries were placed, the scenery and the smell of delicious pastries made Andy feel so much better. "Why don't you go and get ready? We'll take care of the rest." Andy nods and with one last smile in Annie direction, he made his way out of the garden and towards Isaac's rooms. Just like with the charity event, Andrea had brought him a designer suit. This time he was wearing Gucci. The mannequin was in the middle of the room, draped in what Andrea had called a hand made suit, slim lapels, no belt loop and a pair of shiny shoes for his feet. Andy walked into the bathroom, shedding his clothes as he went. He spent a bit more time freshening up than he normally does. He moisturized and finally began to dress up. He slid on a white round neck button up shirt, tucked it into the dark pants that sits well on his waist and the black jacket. He had just slipped on his shoes when there was a knock on the door. "Andy it's Mum." "Come in..." he says when he hears her voice. Angela stepped in and cooed when she saw him. "My little baby, you look good." She cooed as she stepped closer to him, she placed her hands on his shoulder and smiles wetly at him. "Mum, why are you crying? I'm not the one being crowned king." "No but you might as well be." "Mum..." "Shush and hug me." She said and Andy laughs.he reached forward and wrapped his arms around his mother, resting his head against hers. They stay that way for a bit and Andy felt a little calmer. Andy and Angela made their way out, a black limo waiting outside. It was quarter to ten and thankfully, the church wasn't far away from the palace. People were crowding the streets, the only thing the television stations were talking about was the coronation. Andy watched them through his window. It felt everyone had come out for the coronation and he feels so proud of Isaac. He had come so far from the little boy that Andy watched grow on tv and in the magazines. Once the limo stopped in front of the church Andy got down and made his way around to offer his mum a hand. She slipped her hand around his elbow. Guards dressed in their regalia stood on either side of the red carpet, their swords glinting in the sun. He ignores the questions thrown at him as well as the flash of the cameras as they made their way into the church. The pews were literally filled up, except the space at the front. In the middle of the podium was a large chair lined with gold. Andy and his mother took their seat at the front. A few minutes later, everyone began to stand up and turn towards the back as the Queen made her way into the church, the trumpets loud as they welcomed her. She had on a royal blue lace gown with a mermaid tail and a large red velvet cape clipped at the neck, her crown glinting underneath the rays of the sun. Once she takes her seat beside Andy everyone does the same. A man dressed in a black tuxedo made his way to the piano and sat down, his fingers moving on the keys. The archbishop walked onto the podium, Isaac walking out beside him, dressed in all white, with his different lined up on his chest, all the way from his breast pocket to his ribs and a red cotton sash across his chest. Once Isaac takes his seat, Andy's nerves disappeared. "A king is a man who rules the country. He plays an important role in connection with changes of government and presides over the Council of State at the Royal Palace. A King must be centered, decisive. He provides order, lives with integrity, inspires the creativity in others and blesses the lives of others." The archbishop said. "Isaac Maxwell Théodore, the second has lived a life that proves he is all the aforementioned. We can see his integrity in how he interacts with others, the laws he passed, the charities and foundations. We also see it in him as a man." The elderly archbishop said, gesturing, his voice loud, the clip on microphone on his robe. Three nicely dressed children walked out. One a little six year old girl, a twelve year old boy beside her and a so teen year old boy. They were watching holding velvet pillows, one with the scepter, one with orb and the teenage boy holding the crown. "The scepter represent sovereignty." The archbishop said as he placed it on Isaac's hand. The prince held onto the scepter and Andy lets out a whimper, his eyes stinging with bushes tears. "The orb represent the country." The Queen got up from her seat and made her way towards Isaac. She picks the crown from the velvet bed and hands it to the archbishop who goes to stand behind Isaac, his eyes trained on the crowd. "The crown is a very powerful symbol of authority and power. With this grown and the authority vested in me by God and the church, I Crown Isaac Maxwell Théodore king." The archbishop placed the crown on Isaac's head. Andy practically jumped up, clapping happily and screaming, tears running down his face. Annie who had arrived after them, clapping with him too. Isaac got up from the chair and smiled at the crowd, mother on his left side and the archbishop on the right. Everyone was on their feet clapping. Andy couldn't stop looking at his boyfriend, he couldn't stop looking at his king. The ceremony ends soon after that, with Isaac and his mum getting into a carriage. They would go through the streets leading to the castle, waving at the crowd with big smiles. Since Andy wasn't married nor was he engaged to the Isaac he couldn't join him and had to go back to the palace in the limo. He couldn't stop smiling. He was o happy and proud of Isaac it was unbelievable. Looking back now, he wondered what had made him so nervous. Everything had gone fine and he even had a couple of pictures that he sneakily took. One of them already his lock screen. Andy could hear the scream of the people, could see the banners they waved through his windows. The people loved Isaac and Isaac loved them too. By the time Andy, his mum and Annie got to the palace, there were guests milling around, chatting and eating. Small saucers filled with Andy's pastries in their hands. "Andy, I've got t say, your croissants have to be the best in the country." The Prime Minister, Peter O'Neill says as he gripped Andy's hand in a tight shake. It went on like this, people stopping Andy to compliment his pastries. Some of them playfully asking him to send them recipes. Once Isaac entered the room, the king made a beeline for Andy and hugged him so tight breathing became a little bit difficult. "I missed you so much." The king whispers in Andy's ear, his head weighed down by the crown. "I missed you even more, my king." Andy replied, clutching Isaac's shirt tightly. Isaac pulled away and stared at Andy, his arms wrapped around the bakers waist. Isaac leaned forward and peppered kisses over Andy's face, loving the little sound Andy lets out. "I wanted to hug you when I saw you at the church. You looked so good, my love." "And you look ravishing, my king." "I will never tire of you saying that." Isaac said with a bright smile. They were within the crowd, people surrounding them on all sides and it felt like they were the only ones left in the world. "Then I will call you that for as long as you'll have me." "I never plan on letting you go. You are the love of my life." Isaac confesses, his voice soft. A hand reaching up to brush Andy's cheeks. Andy stared at his boyfriend, at his king. It felt like his stomach was doing flips and his heart was about to burst. He closes the distance between their lips, his hands slipping up Isaacs shirt as he wrapped it around his neck. They kissed passionately, no tongue. Tingles rushing through their bodies as their lips moved. They pulled back a few minutes later, staring right into each other's eyes. "I love you too." Andy said, his voice strong. "Say it again." "I love you." Andy repeats. "Again." Isaac said, pressing a kiss to Andy's cheeks, earning a giggle. "I love you, my king." Andy let out a loud laugh as Isaac picks and spun him around, hues head thrown back, eyes close and arms still around Isaac's neck. Once Andy's feet was touching the ground, Angela interrupts them as she pulled Isaac in for a hug. After Angela was Annie and it went on from there. Isaac took Andy's hands in his, their fingers interlocked as they made their way through the crowd. Andy had only let go for a couple of minutes so he could get a plate of the lemon pineapple poke cakes and the bundt cake, Isaac had wanted. The whole day had felt surreal. As he stood beside Isaac whose crown was seated firmly on his head, their hands still locked and smiles on their faces. Andy knee there was no other place he'd rather be than beside Isaac's side. That night they whisper their I love you as Isaac slid into Andy who wrapped his legs around his king, face contorted in pleasure and nails digging into Isaac's back. This was just another chapter of their lives and there were many more to come. As Andy slowly falls asleep with his head on Isaac's chest, he thinks he's ready for the next chapter of their lives. Come what may, he knew with Isaac by his side, he could do anything. He knew that with the love they had for each other, they could conquer all.
