Roman The night is dark and cold. It's dead silent. I'm sitting on the roof, smoking a cigarette. The lights are off in the house. Alex and Anna are probably asleep. I know that Juliette is not. She's probably lying in the dark, staring at the ceiling, regretting the day she met me. Wishing she had just stayed home and cried about her dèad husband. She will never forgive me. That's why she tore the little note I left in the grocery bag into pieces. That's why she didn't speak a single word during the entire ride here. That's why she kept throwing me silent stares and glares, reminding me how much she hates me. But she kissed me. That kiss meant something.
