I bolt out of the house.
Ethan is on top of Richard, punching him hard in the face. Richard just stays there, letting Ethan punch him. What the fùck is wrong with him? Why the fùck can't he fight back?
I try to stop Ethan, screaming at him but he doesn't stop. Blood oozes out of Richard's nose. Tears gush out of my eyes.
Everyone joins the commotion outside. River quickly grabs Julia Rome's hand and goes back inside with her. Everyone screams for Ethan to stop. But Ethan doesn't stop. It's only when his father punches him hard in the face and pulls him away from Richard that he stops.
Silence haunts the front porch. The only noise being panting and grunting and silent cussing.
Richard gets on his feet, his eyes stuck on the ground. Not meeting my gaze. Not meeting anyone's gaze
