CHAPTER3

Elsa's POV

What was always the best day of people’s lives was the worst day of mine. I could not believe this.

There and then, I was determined to deal with Shawn. "He thinks he can just go on and mess around with me. Perhaps this is going to be the end of everything."

I ran to the sports car which had taken me here for the wedding. "Hey, please take me to Alpha's estate," I asked the driver who was inside.

"Ma'am, what's going on? Is anything wrong? I saw your husband getting into his car and driving off."

"Listen, do what I just said!" I yelled at him, afterward regretting it. "I'm sorry, but this is urgent. You will get to know soon."

The driver did as I said, turned on the car ignition, he reversed, and we zoomed off even before some of the guests rushed out to see what was happening.

I arrived at the pack estate. That was the residential estate of Alpha Ramsey, the Alpha of Reinfield Pack. Never in my life did I have the thought of meeting the Alpha. I'm one of the lowest ranked in the pack, an Omega, and my family isn't of high standing. Shawn was supposed to be their ticket to the top, and it was all going well for them, but now that he did that, I did not think so.

Ramsey is young, considered the most handsome man in the pack, but he is strict, a disciplinarian to the core.

Besides this, no one dared to visit him for a complaint unless it was something huge that couldn't be handled personally or by the agencies he created. I was no longer myself with what Shawn did, it had never happened before in the pack. Why was it happening to me?

"Oh, Linda is going to laugh at me and her parents will be mad. They will think it’s my fault!" I lamented inside me. "Hmm," I sighed. Tears felt like coming out of my eyes. It's here that the driver pulled over, driving into the pack estate. I immediately sat up.

After the security scan at the gate, we drove inside. This place was open and free for all, but no one would want to come without an unbearable cause. Ramsey wasn't one to joke with. He isn't a wicked person, but he's quite strict. A perfectionist to the core. No wrong goes past his eyes without a suitable punishment.

The guards directed us to the packing space. As I came out of the car, the massive luxury splashed on the entire estate and got me staring so wide that I forgot what I was there for.

"Hello, ma'am."

Hearing this, I jumped out of my thoughts. Before me was a young man dressed in corporate clothes. He looked like a perfect gentleman. My mind told me he was going to be one of the assistants of the Alpha.

"Yes-ss, hello!"

I gave a single wave. I was nervous.

"What are you here for?"

"The Alpha is calling you!"

My wolf nearly jumped off my body as I heard this. "What's going on?" I asked with my body fidgeting in shock. "Did I do something wrong?"

"You've been standing here for a while without any motion, perhaps that's why the Alpha is calling you."

"Yes-ss, I was--I was just trying to......"

"Ma'am, he has no time to waste." The young man said brashly. "Let's get going!"

I turned to look at my driver inside the car, he was staring at me with pathetic eyes. I had no option but to follow, even with the weakness in my limbs. Adrenalin was getting the whole of me, I had to summon all the energy left as we got into the elevator taking us to the last floor of the complex.

I couldn’t feel myself. "It's over for me!" I said. Deep within me, the stories of people's experiences of Ramsey began playing in my head like a movie scene and I wondered if mine was going to add up to it.

As I walked through the marble tile corridor leading to the Alpha's room with my heels clicking on the floor, I was no longer myself. My mind had sailed away to a very distant land. I just saw my body walking behind the young man before me but in truth, it wasn't me walking. I could be termed an empty body, one which was soulless.

I got carried away, worst of all, by the scents of several romantic perfumes as I continued. I was in bliss, my thoughts had gone far.

"We are here!" The assistant who was before me turned to announce to me, but before I could say a word, he had opened the door to the room where the alpha was sitting. I snapped out of my thoughts immediately panting. Before me a few meters away was a tall, charming young man, quite stern but with charming blue eyes staring at me. He had his hand supporting his chin. Just my first glance at him and my eyes refused to break contact.

This was the most handsome man I had ever seen since I was born. I was now filled with a beautiful kind of fear. A fear crush.

I whispered to myself, I guess my lips were moving, but I'm quite sure my jaw was dropped, Ramsey's lips widened, and his eyes glared at me without motion. All this while, I'd been hearing of Alpha Ramsey, I'd never really had time to watch TV, neither had good phones.

The assistant stood aside, watching us with shock. I couldn't believe watching my wolf jump so excited in the presence of the Alpha as the assistant hit the table.

"Why are you so uneasy?" He asked, glaring at me. Yes, I felt so uneasy, I'd been behaving foolishly. He will now know I'm crushing on him. I can't remember the initial reason that brought me here, all I could feel was Alpha Ramsey's aura overwhelming me.

I blinked my eyes several times.
