Violetta gasped, her eyes filling with tears. She knelt down beside the injured man. "Is anyone alive?" There was silence for several seconds, and then she heard a voice mumble her name. Turning towards the sound, she found a young woman kneeling beside the injured man. She was crying, clutching his bloodstained bandage. Her eyes were wide open and staring vacantly, and she appeared to have passed out. "Help me get her away from here!" pleaded Violetta, holding out her hands to support the young lady's body. The woman was heavy and frail, and it was clear she couldn't carry her all the way to her apartment complex. "I can barely move myself," she groaned, struggling to remain upright.
