As much as Taylor hated to admit it, Jason was right. He DID need to give his mother a chance, and if he left now, Taylor might not get another chance like this again. Taylor knew that. But, there was still a part of him that feared his mother's reaction. He feared how she would react if she knew he was dating a girl. She would probably try to make him stay away from her. He didn't know how to deal with that fear. It scared Taylor. He knew how upset his mother was whenever they fought. And, Taylor didn't want to risk upsetting her even more.
