“Not at all; it may be a good idea to keep the poultice on the scratch, just in case.” Sylvia looked at the doctor in amazement. “I’m surprised you, a medical man, would agree with such things.” “We aren’t all closed-minded, and I believe if we can treat without drugs, then all well and good.” said the doctor, looking at Sylvia with a knowing smile. Sylvia wasn’t sure what to make of it, but her concern for the baby took over. As Sylvia walked into the living room Elisha was feeding the baby and Sylvia told the others what the doctor had said. Elisha didn’t sleep very well that night; she had moved the basinet next to her bed and kept waking up and checking on Hope. The following morning Elisha woke to the sound of Hope waking up. She picked her up. “How are you this morning little one?”
