We visited the new babies before we headed to Cedars Sinai. Such adorable and terrifyingly tiny creatures. Still, another week, and they’d be able to go home. Whitney had basically moved into Leticia’s place to care for the older girls. Leticia stayed in LA to recover from the C-section and to watch over the babies. Bryan drove back and forth and looked completely sleep-deprived. I, on the other hand, felt exceptionally good when I checked Colin into the hospital. Whether because of being buoyed by the upcoming surgery and what it could mean for Colin, or just the sheer joy of the new year, I wasn’t certain. I was all about fresh starts.
