I had been in my room for hours, staring at the same four walls and listening to the wind howl outside.
I added another log to the fireplace and watched the flames catch, wondering absently why every single room in this massive house had its own fireplace. It seemed excessive, even for a mansion this size. But I supposed when you were an alpha king ruling over a territory in the mountains, excess came with the title.
I walked back to my bed and collapsed onto it, staring at the ceiling. I wished for some kind of magic that would make the blizzard stop.
I missed my parents so much it physically hurt.
