My head hung low in embarrassment. I pulled my bottom lip between my teeth, desperately wishing the ground would open and swallow me whole. I was so stupid. I refused to raise my head as Caspian returned to the living room with a cup of water and some painkillers. I couldn’t bear to meet his gaze, not when I almost cracked his skull and spilled his brain matter on the floor.
