Daniel laughed. "Becky, please," he said. "Well, I mean, you don't need me more than once," I cringed at the implication of my words. "You have a lot to learn, Becky," Daniel said quickly. "I'll catch up with you after your finals." He then hung up the phone. After I finished with the phone, I went into my room, lay on my bed, and stared at the ceiling. I didn't know what to do, and I didn't want to do anything with Daniel, but I knew I couldn't back out now. That's probably what he wanted me to do as well. I closed my eyes and hoped to fall asleep. Instead of sleeping, memories flooded back tenfold. I was sprinting down the corridor of Mom and Mitchell's opulent mansion. That's when I heard the sound–which sounded like someone stepping into a hot bath and gasping at the temperature.
