As the concierge brought me from the lobby to the elevator to my room, I couldn't help but stare at the exquisite grandeur all around me. Everything was magnificent, with more gold and marble than I'd ever seen in my life. I couldn't believe it was true - that I was actually there, in such a lovely place. "And here we are," the concierge joked. She pushed the door open. "Just let me know if there's anything else I can do for you, okay?" I agreed by nodding. Stepping into the apartment made me mute.It was the most magnificent place I'd ever seen. My shoes slid into the thick white carpeting, and there were floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked the park. It made me feel insignificant, almost agoraphobic.
