Daniel picked me up in his arms and carried me down the corridor as soon as we entered the flat. He dropped me to the edge of the bed and stood back, his grey eyes digging deep into my face. "Come to me," Daniel said. I scooted down to the edge of the bed and got on my hands and knees, carefully approaching him.
