Landon’s POV
I noticed her leaving the bed despite her best efforts to be quiet, but I didn’t show it to her. I knew she had trouble sleeping and her thoughts were getting out of hand the minute she whispered to herself and so I let her be.
If my assumptions were to be correct, she would go to either the pool or the fitness room to cool off or blow off some steam. All of this had to somehow trace back to Lina and her nonstopping threats and I knew that if I didn’t get her to back off, then one of two things would happen. Either Lina’s obsession would take over and make her threats into a promise and Kimberly would actually end up getting hurt, or they would end up gnawing at her so much that she would end up surrendering and leaving me just to get away from it.
