Kimberly’s POV I, without trouble, snuck out of the bedroom after I had grabbed both a jacket and my shoes. Luckily for me, the elevator only rang when someone came up and not when someone went down, so I could, if I was quiet enough, leave without being noticed. However, if I were noticed on my way out, I had a cover-up story ready. How good it was I did not know. Lying wasn’t something I was a big fan of or very good at for that matter, so all I could do was cross my fingers and hope for the best. Thankfully, Landon and Jack were too busy arguing in the office to notice me leaving, and once I was in the elevator and the doors had closed behind me, I took on my jacket and shoes while I tried to my best ability to breathe. I felt bad for leaving the way I did. I left without saying go
