Chapter 28April 29th – Gibsons, BC Georgia sifted through the soil, removing debris with her fingers. She let the dirt fall freely between her fingers. She loved the soft, damp feel of it. Planting May flowers was a comforting hobby that brought back childhood memories of helping Grams in this garden so many years ago. She leaned back from her knees to rest on the backs of her heels and lifted her face to the sun. Her skin soaked up the heat offered to her on this beautiful warm day. She inspected the garden beds and felt satisfied with her work. Of course, she was doing this not for herself, but for her grandmother who would be returning home sometime over the summer.
