A tug in my heart told me that Alex was in trouble. Our mate bond was still linked but I could no longer feel where he was or any indications of how he was feeling. I anxiously looked on as we finally reached camp where Lea was.
“Lea! See him first,” Rem pushed Daniel on the bed at the triage immediately.
Lea took a look at him and frowned. She touched the new bite on his shoulder which was bleeding. Usually, mate bites seal itself immediately but that did not happen to Daniel and Arlene. Lea looked up and noticed Arlene putting pressure on her own neck to stop the bleeding as well. She turned Daniel’s head around and rolled her eyes.
