Alex
Before the Overlord died.
I woke up.
The fire surrounding us was gone. The trees were no longer mutilated. The sky was a clear blue.
What was I anxious about again?
I looked around the empty clearing and could not detect anything wrong. So it must mean that nothing was wrong, right?
“Alex?”
A sweet voice rang from the otherwise quiet forest.
“Bella?” I turned around looking for her.
“Alex!” She popped out from behind a tree.
“Oh Goddess, I found you at last!” she ran towards me and I enveloped her in a hug.
Her hair flowed down her body, on my arms. Her head laid on my chest perfectly.
“What are you doing here? I thought you were with Rem and Wyatt at the rogue compound.”
She frowned prettily and looked up at me.
