The next morning
I slept in the living room last night. Alex didn’t come out after me and I was glad that he didn’t. I didn’t walk out on a whim. I knew that I needed space to sort out my thoughts. I laid in the dark thinking about everything that had happened since I left the Blood Diamond Pack. So many things had happened and I felt a little swept away by everything. I had been living one day after another, one crisis after another, never given a chance to rethink, process, adjust, realign.
Is this how life should be? All fast and furious, no time to pause? To think, if what we are doing is right?
