“You want me to teach you how to fight?” Max asked, his brows knitted together in confusion.
“Yes, and before you say no, I am a good student, and I learn pretty fast. Also, in exchange, I will make you your favorite meal or bake you something.’
Max chuckled. “I would love to train you, but I am not sure how Gerald would feel about that.”
“What do you mean? He said it was okay. I asked him first before coming to you.” I said with a shrug. It wasn't a lie. I did ask Gerald before coming to him; I just didn't mention Max. Besides, why would he care if Max trained me? Was there something I should know that I didn't? I opened my mouth to ask, but Max was already speaking again.
“Well then, I would be honored to teach you how to fight.”
