Chapter 3: Final Test

"Where is the girl, James?" Growls an angry Ricardo, Alyssa titled her head and looked to the one who had reacted, it was the Dr.
"Probably dead by now, Richard." Answered the British dr. Eh,the guy's real name is Richard? The white haired man raised his gun a look of anger on his otherwise stoic face.
"How dare you bring an untrained in to the testing grounds!" He shouts his voice was rough and deep making the walls shake slightly. Zin shouted in Alyssa's head as he did so.
"Pfft,the girl proved to be useful when she solved the sequence that we need to enter the testing grounds. We have no need to go through as much trouble as you had." Says the doctor in response. A man with firey red hair ran in to the small room panting heavily.
"Sir! There is no other way out!" He shouts to Richard who blanched at the new found information. James smirked victoriously.
"See? She's probably dead by now. Well at least she was useful." He goes on to say.
"Hahaha!" Alyssa could no longer help herself and broke out in laughter at their interaction, "oh, I am truly sorry for laughing, it's just do you seriously think that I am so weak? I doubt that you would get through that door alive even if you have a sequence for it,though, fire just doesn't seem to fit you, dear doctor. " She says Richard turned towards the girl with pepper and salt hair and gave a sigh of relief.
" I'm glad you are alright, Miss Evergarden. Let me re- introduce myself, I am Richard Storm,but people like to call me Ricardo Storm, I'm apart of the agency called W. A. S. A. H. R., I'll explain the rest when we get out of here. Mason,get over here." Richard motioned for the red haired man and he quickly ran over.
"You think I'll let the girl get away with the object and information about what it controls? Ha! Dream on!" James says his body starting to flicker inbetween solid and sandy. Alyssa frowned. 'Is there another way out?' She asks Zin. ''Yes, the room you were in earlier,bring them there.' He responds.
"Hey if you make it passed the bloody river I'll give you my number. Everyone follow me!" Alyssa shouts and leaned back making the hieroglyphics glow, Richard and the others looked confused but backed up until they got to the suddenly slopy path behind the hieroglyphics Alyssa followed close behind. Once they arrived they looked around until they heard a shout of shear pain miles and miles away making Alyssa grin slightly.
"Where are we?" Asks the raven haired man.
"The last testing chamber. Zin said there's a way out in this room." Alyssa answers. One of the girls looked around frantically.
"Why aren't we being challenged then?" She asks in a mouse like voice.
"Cause you hadn't pass through the other trails yet. And I doubt that beasty wants to play now." Mumbles Alyssa and walked to the middle of the room as per directed by Zin. Richard sighed.
"This is Mia the girl is scared easily but can still be brave sometimes. The other girl is Lizzy, the black haired and smiling man is Jarvis and the white haired one similar in appearance to Jarvis is his twin brother Dorian. The hotshot with red hair is Kizar. " Richard introduced the other people and they nodded in acknowledgement.
"Alyssa Evergarden, pleasure to be of acquaintance though I would have preferred to have met under more steady circumstances. Any how,please hold on, I was told the ride down is rocky as hell." Alyssa says smiling brightly. Everyone stared at her in confusion.
"What ride?" Asks Richard. Alyssa stomped her left foot on an watch's pointer finger.
"This one!" She shouts as the ground broke apart and they fell through it feet first. The wind rushed passed them as they fell through winding passages and watery streams that would join them on their path downwards. As they fell through to the lower floors of the pyramid, James was cursing at Alyssa for having closed the hieroglyphics as it refuses to budge even with the top notch sequence they had made to confuse the tablet it did not work obviously.
Richard was the first to go through the last passage and fall on to a boat that just so happens to have been under the hole in the river walls. Then Mia and Lizzy, Jarvis and Dorian, Kizar. The boat moved of its own free will from the hole. Richard reached out swiftly hoping to steer the boat back underneath the gaping hole of the pyramid that stood just about within the waters of the Nile River. Alyssa came with her arms covering her face through the hole and straight in to the water. He tried to jump in to the river but its surface was covered in ice in an instant, the ghostly figure of Zin, appeared in front of them. He had a scowl on his face and his arms we're crossed
' This is her last test, do not interfere or she will loose her life,shushunjë. 'Zin hisses at Richard who backed up his eyes uncertain and worried.
" Fine." Richard says with a sigh.
The instant Alyssa's body touched the waters surface chains of kelp and steal wrapped around her waist,neck and arms pulling her within the depths of darkness that lurked underwater. She watched in horror as the surface was overshadowed by ice blurring the already dim light that filtered through and gave her a little scraps of hope which washed away with the currents that tried to drag her away. The necklace glowed with a bright blue providing light once more and scattering gathering curious fish. She was dragged in to a white space with little to nothing surrounding her. Against what she can only assume to be the walls were weapons of tools meant for torture hung up like trophies. She turned towards a mirror like image of herself. Her hair ruffled and loose strands framing her face. Her brown shirt and shorts covered and smeared in both blood and mud. The mirror image of her grinned with playfulness that was not normal. Alyssa frowned in turn.
"Let me guess, I'm supposed to fight myself?" She asks backing away slowly.
"Yes,you are. My name is,Hapësirë. God of Space, if you are able to survive and defeat yourself than you and I shall bond and combine. Good luck, fare lady." A man with silver hair says before fading in to the walls.
"Well that just happened, what next? Flying pigs?" Alyssa asks no one as she dodged a swing from nunchucks.
