The next couple of days passed in a blur of being consumed by Jace. I never knew that I could be so looked after. When we were together, it was if the whole world revolved around just us, and everything else faded out into the backdrop.
We’d spent as much time as possible together, and even when we weren’t in each other’s presence, he would have food and other luxuries sent to my room, to make sure that I wasn’t in need of anything at all.
In the spirit of keeping hold of my independence, when Jace wasn’t around, I made use of the hotel facilities, and often took little tours of the surrounding parts of where the hotel was situated. If I ever wanted to go far, Jace would arrange a car to transport me, and his kindness seemed to know no bounds.
