CHAPTER FOUR Falling through time and the dark silence of space, on and on, until Callie wondered if rather than bringing them to Camelot, she’d instead sent them all into a black hole somewhere in the universe. She was cold, so cold. She couldn’t remember ever being so cold before. Shivering, she closed her eyes and hugged her arms around herself, feeling thin silk beneath her fingers — the thin silk of the long green dress she’d designed for Camelot. She opened her eyes to take a cautious peek, and quickly straightened to take stock of her surroundings. She was in the castle courtyard, she was pretty sure of that, but in the twilight it was hard to see clearly.
