In the early hours of the morning, when all was still dark, Lucius and the pack had just finished up their work. After their successful ambush on the hunters, they rid their corpses of all their weapons and carried them on Lucius’ orders, if they had done all that they did only for Silas to collect the very weapons that he helped make it would have all been for nothing. Though returning victorious, the pack was also injured, Lucius himself had wounds he knew Laila would scold him over; they did not feel serious before but the longer they went untreated the more painful they became, and he could only imagine how much worse the people had it. When they arrived, Laila immediately rushed to receive Lucius, he leaned all his weight on her in exhaustion and she helplessly struggled to help him
