On the other hand, Ruth was so determined. She will never leave or abandon her mother-in-law. She promised her late husband to never leave her mother, and will take good care or her no matter what. Although, she spent a little time with her husband, she honestly love him and her mother-in-law.
"Mom... Please don't push me away. I will go with you wherever you go, your people will be my people and you God will be my God... Ruth says with teary eyes but with strong determination.
Nami realized that Ruth was so determined. In her heart there was joy. She was really afraid of living alone. She cannot even work and live a normal life because of her weak health. Her heart ache for Ruth, this beautiful young lady, who has lots of choices to better herself, was stuck with her... She subdued the pain in her heart and began to plan for the both of them. Anxious of what their future be, she could only raise her head and entrust everything to God.
In an old abandon two storey house, both Nami and Ruth rested for a while. They began to tidy up the place and fix things. Though it was abandon for a decade, the house was well kept and there was no damage at all. Sheila, their housekeeper must have maintained it well. Everything was in its place. Most of the antique furnitures was still looking good and was all covered with white cloth.
There are four large bedrooms on the second floor. The kithchen, and the living room was also outstanding. And books in the study room was all intact.
Ruth was overwhelmed with the design of the house.
Though Nami was no longer familiar with the surrounding, she still felt happy to be home. She remembered how happy her husband and kids in this house. They always live a simple life yet so fulfilling. If not of the crisis they faced before, they would never leave this place. His husband was so adamant of leaving this place and settle in a small town. She never regret her decision as well, until this time. She felt an excruciating pain in her heart, but she believes everything happens for a reason. She will start a new life with Ruth, and will soon find a husband for her daughter-in-law.
Ruth and Nami, after tidying the place was exhausted.
"Ruth... Wait for me, I'll go buy some food. Rest well... Nami says with a smile. But she felt lost, as she was unfamiliar with surroundings. She doesn't know where to go.
You sure you can go alone mom? I can go with you? Ruth says as she was afraid her mother-in-law was tired. Although she wants to be the one to buy food, she was also unfamiliar with place...
It's ok dear, rest well, I can go alone. Nami said with a light smile...
Nami was considerate to Ruth. She know she was tired, almost doing the cleaning alone. At least she can find her a meal as compensation..
As she was looking for a restaurant, someone shouted at her..
"Madam Nami, is it really you?!!! A middle age woman exclaimes as she was greatly astonished to see her.
Nami was quite surprised as she furrowed her brows, trying to remember this lady...
Sheila? Sheila!!!! Nami shouted with joy as she hug Sheila...
" How are you madam Nami, it's been a long time" , ask Sheila in excitement, smiling at Nami, her eyes was bright and you can see happiness into it.
The expression on Nami's face change immediately. Sadness surrounds her face and tears began to form in her eyes.. "Don't call me Madam Sheila, I'm no longer the lady you served before." Nami suddenly change the topic... "We'll talk some other time Sheila. For now help me find a restaurant, I need to buy food for my daughter-in-law.
Sheila who was shock of Nami's words was in a daze for a while. But as soon as snapped back to reality, she points on the building on her right. Madam Nami, that was one of the best restaurant in the city, she says...
Thank you Sheila, Nami answered... As she waved goodbye and turn her back..
Sheila was still in her deep thought, trying to gather her senses, she thought... Surely she will visit Nami in their house ine of these days.....
News soon spread around the community that Nami was back. Their relatives began to visit her in their house. They were all happy to see her, but as soon as they heard stories about her, they symphatized with her. Almost all of them wished her a better life with her daughter-in-law...
