Fay’s POV.

741 Words
I walk him around the back of the diner and up the path throu the woods. “Where are we going?” He asks, ducking a low tree branch. “I have a little secret hideout in between the border and here” I said smiling. We continue following the trail to a huge tree. I walk around the other side of the tree and push up, a secret door goes up the hollow trunk and I step inside. “ Andre, step behind me please, and please, don’t tense up after the drop.” Grinning as I make room for him in the tree. “What drop” he asks, right before the floor opens up and we slide down a tunnel. We land on a wood floor and I turn on the string lights. “How’d you find this place?” Andre asks dusting himself off, looking around the big room. I decorated it after my sixteenth birthday with a huge bean bag chair, a couple white fold out tables, a laptop with pre downloaded movies, ya know, since there obvi no wifi in a tree. “It used to be a bomb shelter some wacko from town built when he thought we were about to enter world war three, he’s a reg at the diner I’m the only person he talks to” I say, rubbing my arms. “How does it have electric?” He asked. “Oh there’s a generator in the closet, there’s a bathroom with running water, and a shower. I’m sure you see the sink and everything else. He gave me this when he found out he had cancer a few years ago and they said he was gonna pass. But it’s been three years and he’s healthy as a horse!” I gleamed. His name is sal, and he’s been like a grandfather to me since I started at the diner. “It’s beautiful in here” Andre said. His scent is so calming and just being close to him is making me crazy. I wanna touch his face, put my lips on his. As if he was reading my mind he comes closer, close enough that I can feel his breath against my skin. My heart is beating so fast. He reaches up and tucks my hair behind my ear. I look up into those beautiful eyes and lean in. Then sparks surge through me as he kisses me in the most needing way. I kiss back, wrapping my arms around his neck. The kids deepens to the pint when we pull away we both have to catch our breath. “ we have to tell our parents we found our mates.” I say, looking up getting lost in those gorgeous eyes. “We can tell your father first” Andre says, still holding me in his arms. “ Well let’s get going then” I respond, pulling away to go back to the outside world. We head back to the diner and I get ready to go back in to finish my shift. “Wait.” Andre says, kicking his foot on the pavement. “ can I have your number? So we can talk and maybe get to know each other better?” He asked, staring at me with those beautiful eyes. “Of course!” I smile, handing him my phone. We exchange numbers and he hops in his truck. After staring the truck he rolls his window down and says “See you later mate” . I blush, and start walking inside as he pulls away. “FAY.” I hear my father. “Why are you outside the border?” He looks at me, angrier then I’ve ever seen him. “ Dad I-I” stuttering trying to come up with an excuse. “You know why I don’t want you outside the border and yet you defy my wishes?!” He yells at me walking closer. “Get in the truck now”. I hurry up and get in the truck and prepare myself for the earful back to the pack. “Should I tell him about our mate?” I ask my wolf “not yet”. My father starts yelling at me and I just listen and look out the window at all the trees passing by. Contemplating on when to tell him about my mate. Guess I’ll wait til he calms down.
