Chapter Nine

It was nine o’clock and I knew she wouldn’t be done at the theater until two. I had plenty of time to do what I needed to do and then meet her there to make sure she got back okay. She wasn’t going to like it, but I didn’t give a s**t. The only person who could follow her around was me . . . and it hadn’t been me earlier this morning.
After searching for my sister’s best friend, Lainey McGee, on the internet, I found all of her information. She was now an accountant in Mt. Pleasant, only a short drive away, and married to a Dillon Walsh.
