Chapter Twenty-Seven Emma The sun felt good on my skin. However, no amount of listening to the ocean waves could ease my tension. I didn’t want Preston to know how nervous I was going on the date with Nathan. If he knew, he’d never let me go through with it. Hell, even I had second thoughts. But my worries were assuaged, knowing that Preston would be close by. Even if Nathan was a killer, he had nothing on Preston. Plus, I was strong. If it came down to it, I could fight.
