Eighteen months later
I looked at the other soldiers embracing their family. This put a smile on my face. After a long year, I'm finally able to meet my family again. I decided to surprise them. They didn't know that I could finally take a vacation and stay with them for a while until I could go back to my duty again.
Excitement fills me with just the thought of it. I can't wait to go home.
