She’s my priority

Jeff POV While my horse walks swift, I jungle through the woods on the back of the horse. I am wearing my dark knight crest on my body and covering my face halfway with my silver made helmet. I hold the robe that rounded the neck of the horse tight, to stop its movement. I stare at the castle fence that is right in front of me. How the fence walks tall all the way up and how the Soilder’s kept patrolling back and forth. I jump down from the horse back and walk with my horse into the castle. Everyone seems to be preparing for something of more importance. Joy expressing in their looks. My horse keep sneering as it walks, it found the atmosphere very uncomfortable, while a lady dressed in ember dance past me. I keep walking quietly through the crowd with my horse accompanying me. They are all joyously celebrating something great and it is of no interest to me. “Quite loud here.” I wonder. Climb back on my horse, I ride immediately into the castle, I am heading for the palace. I stop at the castles gate my horse trembling backward. “Identify yourself.” The warden stops me. I pull my helmet slightly so he could just get a glance of my eye and the warden shivers and move back. He is in shock and scared. Yeah, right he has to… “Open the gates immediately.!” He yells to the man on top and I walk in with my horse again in my hand holding its rope. “Let the king know am here. I have something urgent to say to him.” Saying to one of the court members that comes to welcome me. Inside the palace is very quiet than the outside but what is more evident is the fact that something big is in preparation. I look up while standing a bit outside in the cold weather and I now know what I am and whom I have miss a lot; home and my father. I don’t want to walk further into the castle so that mother would not see me. I do not want to remember. Remember how I had been treated all these past years? And talked to. My eye lingers a lot in the sky and the atmosphere kept giving me the chill I wanted. “Brother..” I hear her call. She rans through the yard with her vest and heavy hood over her head. She hugs me by the waist, immediately pushing me backward. My horse walks away from my hand as my whole body stiffs with surprise, I am surprised. My eye stands paramount to noting but on shock. “I have missed you.” I have, more than she did, but I can not compete. I am trying to maintain the stance of a gentleman and not break my noble appearance. I hold her back by my hand on her shoulder and she stares at me surprised. “Didn’t you miss me brother?” she asks. “Where’s Father? I have something more urgent to say to him.” ignoring, I am walking away with my eye that keep looking around if there is anyone seeing me. “I’m getting engaged today.-” she stops me with what she says. She is getting engaged today. How isn’t I aware of this? “- I know you don't know and obviously you might not care since you have to fight for our kingdom. But at least know this.” she now turns back with her hand cooling her shoulders. ‘I care more than you know’ speaking to myself with a frowned face. What was I to do? Father hates me for being soft and my sister on the other hand loves me how I am; The caring and loving type. I love her so much and I am doing all this for her. She wont understand now, but someday she would. I did not stop anyways, I kept walking. The midnight light keeps crossing my path. My legs walks transitioned. My eye keeps walking forward but my mind is backwards. She is getting married soon and engaged to some rude jerk if I am to presume. She is forced to marry him and am sure of it. I can't help it, I love her and can not trade her to some unknown person. I just can’t. I walk into fathers chambers and there they were all siting with the elders and mother chatting and looking happy. If they knew how things were at the war front, they would not have been this calm. As the door smash each other back, they all turn to me like an outcast, shock to my presence. “Ohh, Jeff your home.” she exclams from beside father. “My son, to what do I owe your visit. I mean your rearly come home.” Yeah, I rearly come home and that is all because you never want me home. He wanted me to die at the war front. He hates me and I can't get the reason why he so much put a fake smile while I am right in front of him. Is it because I am his only heir? The heir to his throne? “Why wasn't I told about my sisters engagement?” I forgot all about my message from the war front. Lillian is my major priority now. Father coughs while mother eyes him. “Excuse us.” father orders and everyone walks out except mother, in silence and suspense filled. As the door locks behind, mum walks to embrace me. “It's not like we didn't want to tell you.” she tries as much as possible to cuddle my bones together. “ I mean your busy at the war front and how do you expect us to get that sort of information to you?” Well she made her point. “Who's the guy?” I asks looking away at father. “Grey, son of the solanas.” He speaks after a lot of pauses. “What!! The one's we're fighting with?” “What do you mean Jeff? ‘Fighting with?’-” mum asks but father answers. “Yes.” something anonymous is fishy and I can’t wait to get to the ends of this issue that is presiding.
