"But..." Will looked at Cindy's back worriedly.
He wanted to remind her that Nicholas didn't like being disturbed at this time and that it was a bad idea to enter his room.
Megan had already seen through his thoughts. She sighed and said, "Don't worry. Cindy can handle this."
Will wasn't convinced and looked at her in disbelief.
Not wanting to keep him guessing, she explained,
"Cindy is Nicholas's wife, and the past is in the past. I used to like Ivy, but now I know that she didn't really love Nicholas. Cindy's different. Nicholas likes her and spoils her, but it doesn't boost her ego. I can tell that she's innocent. And I believe that she could handle it."
Will didn't say anything else as he hoped that was the case.
