Chapter 63: The Untold Letter

1832 Words
Even though they are aware that I am Saki's friend, they refuse to open the gate. Saki has urged me to come here, and her foolish guards are refusing to open the gate, so I'm expecting her to show up. I suppose I should just send Saki a message. There are still no messages from her when I access my hologram. I send her a message stating that I am already outside their home, but she does not respond. Is she playing a joke on me? I said, "Hey, let me in!" The guards simply ignore me, maintaining a straight face and acting as if I am not present. "Hey, what's the matter with all of you?" I inquired. Katsumi begins to use her telekinesis to open the gate. The guards brandish their samurai at her, but she simply melts them with her gaze. She is powerful, and I can't believe a girl her age has that much power. Because she can melt it, the samurai are useless to her. "Hey, Katsumi, you should take it easy," Bara said. The guards attempt to attack her, but she uses her martial arts talents to toss the four guards who are attempting to attack her. "What the hell is going on here?" Saki's mother remarked. When she spotted me, she started crying and ran towards me. "Are you all right, Madam? Saki was the reason I came here. She stated that she would inform me of something significant. Your daughter has been avoiding me the entire time and has not responded to my text messages. Is she still sound asleep?" I inquired. She drops to her knees and grabs my forearms and said "The guards and my daughter who went outside yesterday did not return for the entire night. My daughter has vanished." Saki has gone missing and has yet to be found. She is a victim of the unsolved case as well. "The guards have been looking for her all night and have searched every corner of the city, but they haven't been able to find her," she stated. The upper knights are on the lookout for the culprit as well, but they haven't come across anyone who could be a suspect in this case. "That's why I've told my guards not to welcome any visitors, no matter who they are, in order to keep the people inside the mansion secure," she continued. Now I see what they were doing before, and they were only performing their job and obeying their master's command. "Please accept our apologies for our actions," I said. We wreak havoc on her guards. She clings to my hand as though pleading with me to tell me about her daughter. "Saki and her bodyguards visited your home before they vanished. Please describe what happened right before you saw Saki for the last time. We feel your remarks and point of view will provide us with yet another clue as to where we can find my daughter "she stated Well, I hope my statements will be of great assistance to their investigations, but I believe they will be ineffective and irrelevant. Because we haven't talked much, they won't gain any hints from our conversation. "I'm sorry, but I don't believe this would assist you in your hunt for her, but the last thing she said to me was to come here and we'll talk," I said. "She told me that she'd tell me something significant if I came here, so I did. Unfortunately, she is not present, but these individuals may be able to assist you. Katsumi and Bara are here," while introducing them to Saki's mother, I stated. They respect her by bowing to her. She knows how to show respect, even though she is an upper knight, which astounds me. "Hello, I am Katsumi, and this is Bara. I am one of the people who your husband meets every time he has a meeting. I'm overjoyed to have finally met Watanabe's wife. According to the way people describe you, you appear to be much more attractive "Katsumi remarked. Wow, she has a tremendous gift for words and compliments. If she is a boy, she will undoubtedly be a complete playboy who enjoys receiving accolades. "They're now working on a case that has something to do with your daughter. They claim that there has been an unusual surge in reports of people going missing, and they assume that someone is to blame. I believe they are the ones who will be on the lookout for your daughter "I stated. "We are doing our best to find everyone who is missing," they say again, "and please don't worry because once the perpetrator is apprehended, he will face the penalty he deserves." For the last time, I bow to her. I'm hoping that the people who have gone missing will be found shortly. "We'll leave right now," I said. "Takahashi, I believe you should pay a visit to Saki's room. There's a journal full of letters there that we didn't try to read, and I believe they are the matters she'd like to discuss with you today "Saki's mother expressed her thoughts. I'm concerned that Bara and Katsumi are in a rush, and that I may cause them inconvenience. "We will wait for you," Bara replied, "so please take your time." I went to Saki's bedroom after entering the mansion. Because it isn't locked, I can easily go in. A journal is left open on her study table, and it is indeed full of letters. Every page has a letter for everyone, as far as I can tell. Tori, Lyka, Yuu, and I have messages. I know I shouldn't read her letters for other people, but I can't stop myself from peeking at her letter for Yuu. I read her letter to Yuu and discovered that she is writing this journal to relieve the tension she is experiencing as a result of Yuu's death. "It was all a joke at first, and you know how much I dislike you. My gaze is already drawn to someone else, yet there's something about you that draws it back to you. Maybe it's because I've accepted that the man I love is already blissfully happy with someone else, but don't think I only prefer you since I don't have a chance with him. I simply like you in an unexpected, incomprehensible, and very mysterious way "she stated. She likes him a lot, but according to her letter, she liked someone else first before she started to like Yuu. I can't believe she's lying when she says she likes him in front of everyone. I assumed she was serious. I've finished reading Yuu's letter. I opened the next pages and found the letter for me. It is the longest letter she has ever written. I started reading it and felt like she was here and she was saying these things directly at me. "We met in a very unexpected way and the two of us have a goal in life and I believe that you will probably the key to my questions and will lead me to the real reasons. I thought that it would only be about that matter, but you have become an important person in my life, and having you as my friend is one of the things I treasure a lot. The time we spent together will always be in my heart, and the moments and memories I share with you are my favorites. Sorry for everything I have done. " "Do I come across as serious now? I realize you're not used to hearing me speak in this manner. I wish I had told you about these things sooner. You are entitled to hear these words, and you are entitled to my honesty. I'm sorry I hurt you before, and I'm sorry I said those words that will hurt you. I know I've wounded you before, and I'm sorry for what I said "she stated I've already forgiven her, and she doesn't have to apologize any longer. All I want right now is for her to come back here and be safe. When she returns, I'll just pretend I didn't read any of the letters so she doesn't get the impression I know how she feels about Yuu and me. I know she's nice, and I'm used to her demeanor, so I accept her for who she is. "Tori has a secret that you should be aware of. I'm not sure, but there is no way that someone who looks exactly like her but has different eyes could be a different person. I believe you should see this, and I believe it has something to do with your past life. I discovered a book for children about the legend of a lightning God, written by an author, which you can see for yourself on the last page "she stated. I look at the top of the table for the book she mentions, but it isn't there. I'm not sure where it is, so I look in her study table drawer, where I find an old book. I believe it is quite old, and there is no book like it available in any bookstore. I believe this is the old book she's referring to. I read the first paragraph of the book and I can see that this is the children's story book that she is referring to. I turned to the last page of the book and saw an old photograph of a couple. A lady and a man who appears to be strong and has a great body and menacing eyes. I get a closer look at the woman, and she does indeed resemble Tori. What does this imply? Unlike Tori's eyes right now, the lady's eyes in the portrait are normal. I believe I am getting closer to discovering the truth, and this will most likely serve as a good starting point and a significant step in my investigation into who I am and who Tori truly is, as well as why the two of us became sinners. I read the last paragraph of her letter for me. "I also have something I'd like to express to you. I know you won't know about this letter and won't read it, so everything will remain a secret for the rest of our life. But, if you make it this far, I apologize for being so enigmatic right now. I'd like to tell you something: I've always thought you'd be the right person for me, but the time isn't right. I feel the Gods do not want us to be together, and you would not believe me if I said I did fight destiny just to be with you, but I assume we aren't meant to be together. I just want to continue to support you and let you have your happiness. Takahashi, yes, I like you. I love you."
