Chapter 14: The Race

I will not be defeated by you, even though you have God's might! I jump really high, and electricity can be seen around my legs. "Your legs... They're engulfed in electricity," he said. He's more expressive now, as though he's in awe of what he's seeing. He, too, jumps very high, and we both aim for the spot where the tile ground will fall on each of us. I keep firing until there is no tile ground on which he can tread as I bounce back to the ground tile behind him. "I guess it's my loss," he admitted as he accepted defeat. He dies as he descends into the void. I've won, but I still can't believe it. Is it possible that I will win, or am I just dreaming? The host shouted, "The game's champion! Fujin Takahashi! The new fighter on the rise is now at the tail of the lion! "

I'm the actual winner! I can't move and can't believe what I'm seeing. My legs are trembling. My opponents were defeated. I'm pleased that I've proven to everyone watching that I'm capable of being someone. When I close my eyes, I can hear people cheering for me. This raucousness and joy of everyone around me reminds me of home and makes me nostalgic. As I watch myself start to dissipate and being taken back to the lobby, I fall to my knees. When I respawned in the lobby, Saki hugged me tightly. She inquires, "Are you hurt?" She has a worried expression on her face and is constantly checking on me. I've already healed because I respawned in this lobby, but my entire body was aching previously.

I said, "I'm alright." I'm feeling shy right now, and I'm not sure how I'll answer everyone without appearing to be bragging about my victory. "That was a fantastic fight," Yuu remarked. I gave him a kind glance and tapped his shoulder. "I believe you should be the one to win," I added. Saki flashed him a menacing look, as if she was still pissed at him. "Hey, don't give me that look. Please forgive me, "he stated. Saki seemed to be irritated by him. "Forgive you? No way, "she stated. I need to put a stop to these two before they escalate into a greater brawl. "Now is the time to stop talking. You two might start fighting if you keep talking, "I stated. "How about we have a very spectacular celebration?" Yuu just hugged the two of us and remarked.

"Sure," I said quietly, "but this time, let's not drink booze." While tapping my shoulders, he began to burst out laughing. Does he want me to cough blood? He was pounding my shoulders pretty hard. "Calm down, young man! If that's what you want, we won't drink it! ", he stated. He pats Saki's head while looking at her. "This night, we'll stay at Saki's house, and tomorrow, let's celebrate your win!" he exclaimed. Saki slammed his fist into his head. "Are you insane?! You are not permitted to enter my home! ", she screamed. She's being obnoxious as usual. "Hey, it'll be alright, right? So, allow him to come to your home, "he stated. She simply averts her gaze, as if she is quite shy. I'm curious as to what's wrong with her home.

"Sure, let's stay at his house," I reassured him, "but I think we should pick up Tori from my apartment so she can stay at Saki's house as well, because I don't want her to be alone in the apartment." He says and gives me a thumbs up, "Yes, of course! Come on, let's go get her! ".. Even if he loses, he appears to be overjoyed at my success. I'd like to keep these individuals in my life. They bring me joy like no one else. We're walking to the apartment, and every time we pass a liquor store, he always encourages us to buy and drink liquor, but Saki simply punches his head. Saki could possibly be the game's winner if she hadn't died early in the game.

We arrive at our apartment complex and proceed up the stairwell. I knocked on my apartment's door. "Wait, I'll be right there," Tori said. She opened the door and looked at the three of us, shocked. He exclaimed, "Your boyfriend won the Arrow Void game!" "Stop," I said to calm him down. Tori smiles and beams with joy at my success, saying, "Really? I'm glad to hear that. " "How many times do I have to tell you that we aren't lovers?" I said, my voice trembling. When I saw her happy smile, I started blushing. "Oh, come on, be straight to the point and let's go," Saki shouted, interrupting Tori and me with her arms crossed.

In front of Tori, I needed to brace myself and keep my cool. "I won the Arrow Void game," I stated after clearing my throat. I was taken aback by how tightly she hugged me. She exclaimed, "I'm so proud of you." I returned the hug. Yuu and Saki are staring at us, as if they're asking me to let go of my clinginess. Saki exclaimed, "Oh just come on." I say something to Tori while holding her shoulders. "We intend to spend the night at Saki's house and celebrate tomorrow. I'd like you to join us for our celebration tomorrow and stay overnight at Saki's house". She only nods, as though she doesn't want to walk outside and is quite uncomfortable doing so. I understand her trauma, and I understand if she refuses to leave.

She is unable to face us in the eyes and repeatedly avoids doing so. "I'm sorry. I don't want you to be upset, but I think I'd prefer to stay in the apartment, and I'm not in the mood to venture outside, "she expressed herself. Hearing what she said makes me sad, but I believe her reasons are valid, and she does not need to apologize for being unable to attend our celebration. "It's fine, and no apology is required. I see your point, "I patted her head as I spoke. "There's no need to be sad, everyone, and stop saying sorry!" Yuu exclaimed, laughing. Tori's waist was grabbed by him, and he carried her away. "Now let's get started! There will be no one left behind, "he expressed himself. "Hey, hold your horses, put her down," I say.

As he began to run while carrying Tori, Saki and I began to run after him. He is a blazing-quick runner. It appears like he wants us to have a full celebration, and he wants Tori to be a part of it, which makes me pleased. "Hurry up, everyone!" he yelled. He's already carrying Tori, but he's still a super rapid runner. "Please, brother, slow down and wait for us," I implore. He just laughed, and it didn't appear like he intended to stop and wait for me. He kept running at a breakneck pace. I desperately need to take a break and catch my breath. I came to a halt and took a deep breath. My legs are already trembling, and I don't think I'll be able to continue running. While catching my breath, I held my knees for a little while. Saki grabbed my waist and carried me and said "Don't stop stupid".

"Would you like to race?" Yuu stated. While Tori and he are running, he smiles as he glances at her. However, "I understand if you don't want to race because I realize you don't want to lose," he remarked. She asked, "Who told you I'd lose to someone like you?" This is not the time to hold a race, and I feel the crowds on the outside will just serve to impede them. "Well, you just lost to me in the arrow game, so let's fight again. Your home gate will serve as the finish line, "he expressed. "Then take a bite out of your defeat. Let's get this party started! ", she declared. I was about to puke since the two of them started running extremely fast.

This is a truly unjust battle. Saki is a girl, while Yuu is a boy, and Yuu is clearly carrying a much lighter girl than Saki, who is carrying me. "Hey, let's put an end to this race," I remarked. She simply ignores me and continues to concentrate on the race. My tummy was in excruciating pain, and I could feel the force of every step she took as she ran. Yuu told her, "You are a very sluggish ninja girl." Yuu is teasing her, and she appears to be pissed off. "Calm down!" I exclaimed. Saki is a quick runner who has managed to outrun Yuu and is now trailing us. "Hey Saki, please go slower, my stomach is already hurting," I begged. "Wow, you're pretty fast," Yuu said as he began to sprint faster, drawing closer to Saki once more.

When I look at the road we're about to take, I see that there are a lot of people on it, and it's impossible to run on it. We are on a straight road, therefore there is no way. "Saki, stop! The road is really congested, and we are unable to run across it, "I stated. She continues to ignore me and pay no attention to what I'm saying. "Hey, listen to me," I said, hitting her on the head a little. While sprinting, she pinched my forehead and yelled, "I know what I'm doing, so shut up." We're getting close to the crowd, and I don't want to cause a snarl on this route. Saki bends her knees and leaps high into the air, landing on the roofs of the houses before continuing to run.

I checked the ground to see how Yuu would maneuver through the throng. Will he jump like Saki and then run on the roof of the building? "Get out of our path or I'll run you over!" he yelled, chuckling. The crowd begins to move out of the way, and those who do not move are bumped and flung into the air. All I hear is the crowd's hysteria and the shouts of those who are being tossed. "Hey! Yuu is causing havoc on the highway, "I stated. I believe some of the people on the ground were harmed as a result of Yuu's collision. I said, "Hey, stop him!" Yuu manages to get through the crowd by abusing and intimidating the people. These individuals are a big headache and a nuisance.

"Help me!" Tori screamed as she slammed her fist into Yuu's back. "Hey, let's provide a hand for Tori! Because of the race, she was already terrified, "I stated. Saki keeps sprinting and leaping from the building. "I don't give a damn," she declared. I'm hoping that this race is already over because we're upsetting other people and their businesses. "Tori, don't give up! Trust and rely on Yuu! " I screamed. Tori tightens her grip on Yuu and closes her eyes. We're still ahead of Yuu, and I believe Saki will win easily. Yuu tosses a knife at us in an attempt to slow us down, but Saki manages to evade it. "Hey, that's a scumbag! That's cheating, and you should stop throwing knives because they might hit random people, "I yelled at Yuu.

He seemed to be having fun with the game and stated, "It's not cheating, and it's not indicated to be cheating at the beginning of the game." This irritates me! He isn't battling us fairly. "So, fighting and making dirty plays aren't considered cheating?" Saki leaps into the air and lands close to him. "Allow me to fight you in combat," she said. Saki delivered a tremendous roundhouse kick that nearly hit Yuu in the face, but he managed to duck and evade the powerful kick. "Hey, Saki! Don't go after him! Tori is in his arms! You might hit her by accident, "I stated. They continue to attack each other and kick each other. They're quick, yet they do not hit each other because they can both avoid the kick.

"Hey, just quit!" I screamed. Tori leaps high into the air and delivers a kick that lands squarely in Yuu's face. She kicks him in the face and tosses him to the ground, along with Tori. "Tori!" I exclaimed. Saki keeps running, while Yuu and Tori remain on the ground for a bit. Because of the discomfort, Yuu is stroking his face. "That hurts," he expressed his displeasure. "Let's help them!" I exclaimed. Saki keeps running at a tremendous speed, and we can't see Tori or Yuu because they've already been left behind. "We've arrived," she stated. Tori won the race, but I'm concerned about Yuu and Tori. I said, "Let's go back." "Welcome to Watanabe's Mansion," the guards stated with a bow. When I glance at the house, I notice that it is quite large. I'm stunned, and I still can't believe what I'm seeing. She is immensely wealthy and lives in a mansion!
