Chapter 97: Simple Celebration

"Did you forget that there's something we need to do right now?" she inquired. I recall that we need to go to the Arrow Void lobby the reset of the leaderboard, and I'm beginning to wonder if I'll be a legend today. In Arrow Void, I grind and play a lot in order to achieve my ambition of becoming a legend. I'm hoping that my dreams will come true today. "Thank you for bringing it up again. That was almost forgotten. We must now prepare and be ready to enter the lobby "I stated. We continue to eat till we are full. She inquired, "Are you thinking about something?" I just remembered that if I become a legend, I'll have another chance to see Katsumi. "Don't even consider it. It makes no difference, "I already stated

She takes a bath in the cottage's comfort room, while I bathe beside our cottage in the nearby river. If I see her soon, I'm still not ready to see her, and I'm frightened to strike up a discussion with her since I'm still at a loss for words. I complete my bath and dress in the clothing I wish to wear today. Chitose is still preparing herself in the comfort room. I put on my armor and cover my face with a cloak. They won't know if I become a legend in the Arrow Void because they don't go there and can only meet me on the day of my official introduction to the kingdom's staff as a legend at the castle. All I have to do now is prepare myself in every way.

Chitose had already completed her preparations. "Are you all set now?" she inquired. I simply smiled and answered, "I am always ready." We headed to the main lobby, where she wore her cloak to disguise her face. We headed to the Arrow Void lobby, where a large number of people were already waiting for the results. They're undoubtedly wondering who today's new legend will be. It's my hope that it'll be me. Even if I don't become a legend, I'll know that I gave it my all for the entire month in order to do so, and I'll just try again next time. "Are you worried?" she inquired. Well, I guess I'm a little jittery. "Do I appear nervous?" I inquired. "You do," she answered with a giggle.

My hands and cheeks are dripping wet. She puts her hand on my shoulder. "Don't be concerned; simply trust yourself. I believe in you, and we know you gave it your all even if you didn't win "she stated. With those comments, she's simply attempting to console me. "Are you saying that so I won't feel terrible if I don't succeed in becoming a legend?" I inquired. She pinches the lining of my cheeks so hard that it hurts. "What are you trying to say with that? I simply want you to feel confident, "she stated. The leaderboard is about to refresh in a few seconds, and everyone's attention is drawn to it. As soon as they see the new leaderboard, everyone starts shouting in delight. Chitose leaps up and punches me in the shoulder. "You pulled it off, Takahashi!" she shouted. When I look at the leaderboard, I'm taken aback by what I see, and I still can't believe what I'm seeing. Right now, I'm probably dreaming. "You've become a legend!" Chitose remarked.

I achieved that goal! I've become a legend. My sacrifices have not been in vain, and they have all been worthwhile. Finally, I can be proud of myself. "I told you! You've got this! ", she stated She is so overjoyed that she keeps her hand on my shoulder as she jumps. I'm holding her head down since we're genuinely hiding. "Lower your voice," I advised. I don't want anybody to notice that I'm here and start photographing or interviewing me. I try to separate her from the crowd. We run away from the crowd while the others are still looking at the leaderboard. We both take a deep breath and come to a complete stop. "Do you prefer to eat?" she inquired. After all, we'll be having a party, so it's not a horrible idea.

As a reward for my accomplishment, I suppose we should eat at a nice restaurant. "Sure, and it'll be a great way to commemorate this success. Don't worry, I'll take care of the bills "I stated. She showed me her hologram, which allowed me to see how much money she had. She does, in fact, have a lot of money. She most likely earned it through participating in the Block Party. "Given that this is your success, I believe I should be the one to treat you, as you deserve to enjoy your day and this celebration is for you. Come on, don't be shy around me; I'm absolutely okay "she stated. I suppose I can't refuse her offer because she so desperately wants to spoil me this time. I simply give her a thumbs up to indicate that her plans are on track.

"I've got you covered! Allow me to select the meal that you will be served. I have a number of dinners that I would like you to try because they are delicious, "she stated. Chitose appears to be overjoyed with the prospect of delivering me her treat. I'm guessing this is her first time dealing with a guest at a restaurant. "Will this be your first time treating someone in a restaurant?" I inquired. "This is my first time, so you are correct, but it is not because I didn't have money previously; it is just because I am not permitted to socialize with other people as much as I would like. As you can see, my parents are very conservative and do not want me to associate with others. I understand that they are only concerned about me, but there are moments when I just want to be free "she clarified

I simply follow her as she walks in a direction I've never been before. She dined in a high-end establishment. I said, "Hey, it's fine with me if we don't eat at an expensive restaurant." She simply grabbed my arm and pushed my shoulder down into a chair. "Simply take a seat and unwind. This is my gift to you, so please accept it "she stated.  The floor is gleaming, and all of the utensils are gold. The orchestra's music is fantastic. The light from the chandelier is dazzling, and the chandelier itself appears to be formed of unusual minerals that are difficult to come by. The folks in the area are dressed up in gowns and tuxedos, and they all appear to be from a wealthy family, while Chitose and I are dressed casually.

When the server handed us the menu, I was taken aback by the price. I'm aware that Chitose has a substantial sum of money in her wallet, but I don't want it to be spent excessively because of this meal. With the price of the meal listed on the menu, I believe she will only have a tiny amount of money in her virtual wallet after this meal. "Come on, Chitose, let's go. I'll just treat you outside, or how about we go to the market and cook in the cottage together? Isn't that a better option, or should we just go to another restaurant and order some meals and return to the cottage? " I stated. She just kept reading the menu, and it appears that she already knows what she wants to order.

"Come on, Chitose, it's okay if we don't eat here. It's fine, I swear. We don't need to dine at this pricey establishment. Let's get going now "I stated. She is ready to raise her hand to summon the waiter, but I grab her hand and prevent her from doing so. "You don't have to spend a lot of money just to please me. Make use of it for yourself "I stated. She simply gave me a wink and pushed me back into my chair. "You don't have to be concerned about money. Stop worrying right now. If you keep thinking about how much money I'll spend instead of enjoying the food I buy for you, I'll be disappointed "she stated. If I keep telling her how much I don't want to eat here because it's expensive even if she's the one who has to pay, she'll probably think I'm being rude.

"Simply enjoy the cuisine, and let us ensure that the money spent here is well spent. For now, let's just eat a lot "she stated She signals for the waiter with her hand. The waiter approached her and inquired about her order. She began pointing her finger across the menu, indicating all of the meals she desired. I'm about to stop her since she's pointing at so many foods, but she's in the middle of a conversation with the waiter. Even the waiter is taken aback because she ordered a large amount of food, and his expression reveals that he is concerned that Chitose would be unable to pay for it all. "If her money isn't enough, I'll pay the remaining balance of the cost," I said. Actually, the waiter is looking down on us.

I'm sure he's looking down on us because we don't appear to be wealthy like their other customers and we're dressed casually with a cloak. The waiter is preparing to approach her for money with all those bills, and he has that sneer on his face, as if he is happy to see us because we can't afford to pay them and will embarrass ourselves. Chitose opens her virtual wallet, but it appears that the money in it will not be sufficient to cover the cost. "It appears that the money in my virtual wallet is insufficient," she explained. The waiter began crossing his arms. The waiter inquired, "Should I cancel your order?" "It's alright, Chitose, let's just go," I remarked as I stared at her.

Because we can't afford the bills in this restaurant, I was about to rise up and was expecting her to do so as well. "It's not necessary to cancel all of the orders," she explained. The waiter furrows his brows towards the direction of Chitose. "What exactly do you mean when you say there's no need to cancel all of your orders? You just stated that your virtual wallet does not have enough money to cover the entire cost, despite the fact that you ordered a large number of items. How are you going to pay for it? If you do not have the financial means to pay the bill, we will not make the food you wish to consume "he stated Chitose chuckles and puts her handkerchief over her mouth. The handkerchief was placed on the table by her. "Who informed you I couldn't afford to pay my bills?" she enquired.

"You've already stated that your wallet is insufficiently stocked, haven't you? If you don't have another wallet, you won't be able to pay "he stated I try to calm the waiter down since others are staring at us, which makes me feel embarrassed. I don't want to attract the public's attention. "Please don't raise a ruckus because we're already leaving," I said. Chitose raises her finger at me before returning it to the chair, indicating that she wants me to return to my seat. "Just relax," she said. "If you don't leave this restaurant right now, I'll summon the knights to come here and force the two of you to leave," he said.

Someone slammed the restaurant door open, surprising and shocking everyone. The waiter dashed over to them. "The knights are on their way! What a coincidence! Please help us; we have an extremely obnoxious customer who refuses to pay and refuses to go "he stated. When I saw the faces of the two knights entering the restaurant, I hurriedly put my cloak back on to hide my face. Why are they here? This is quite inconvenient, and I wish they weren't here. "That's it! They're the ones I'm referring to ", said the waiter. She lightly kicks our table and places her foot on it. "Will you pay or will you leave? I've given you two options, so you should make a decision right away "Katsumi remarked.
