Chapter 34: Pearl

"Don't be concerned! Don't be afraid! Put your trust in me! There's no need to be afraid since I'm here to help! We'll be OK! We'll simply have to find another teammate, and then we'll be able to set up camp and wait for the opponents to arrive! " I stated. I think I came across as a hero there. I'm hoping she's not terrified right now. I'm hoping to earn her trust. "What exactly are you referring to? I'm not worried in the least, "she stated. That's a lie, so I'm guessing she's lying. "Let's get started! I know you're frightened, but now is not the time to talk about it. I'm here, and we'll be safe! Let's see if we can find our other teammates, "I stated. "It's the first blood! There are only 11 participants left in the game! The yellow team is down to just two players, "stated the host. Our teammate died unexpectedly! Now it's just the two of us! How are we going to make it through this game? With the wooden sword I have, I'm not sure I can protect her. I need to be brave! I need to demonstrate to this lady that I am fine and unfazed. "Don't be afraid, even if one of our teammates died!" I exclaimed. "You're the one who appears to be terrified," she stated. My arms and legs are trembling. This is a disgrace! My body refuses to listen to my words! "I will defend you! I'm not scared in the least! I will defend you and will not allow you to be wounded," I stated. A man leaped towards us. I'm guessing he's the one that assassinated one of our teammates! "I got you!" he exclaimed. With my wooden sword, I deflected his s***h. He said, "Nice block, mister." He is a formidable opponent. "Now is the time to run! This is something I can handle! You have to flee, "I screamed. Maybe I'll just throw this guy into the void and let him die. I tried to push him, but he was immobile. "This is so dull," she grumbled. As she flips, she leaps and steps on my head. "Damn, that hurts!", I said. She slashed the man's head and dismembered his body.

Our opponent died recently, and his body fell to the ground. As he vanishes, his items fall to the ground, and she collects some of them. "Are you okay?" I stated. She was completely unharmed. With just one swing of her sword, she managed to slice the man's head off. "I'm fine," she replied. I'm relieved she's okay. Was it only a fluke that she managed to kill our opponent, or was she a skilled player? "Thank you for rescuing me! Don't worry, I'll make sure you're safe this time! It's only that I was taken aback by his unexpected onslaught. I'm really impressed by what you've accomplished! " I stated. Because of the impact of our opponent's blade, my wooden weapon nearly broke. With this, I won't be able to protect her.

"I don't need any help at all," she stated, "especially if someone like you will be the one to help me." I suppose I won't be a good teammate if I can't battle well in this game. I'll continue to do everything I can to protect her so that we can win this game. She manifests an iron sword in her hand and hands it over to me. "Use this sword to battle with a more powerful weapon," she said. I'm guessing she got it from our previous opponent, who died. I expressed my gratitude by saying, "Thank you!" She isn't rude at all, and she maintains a calm demeanor that I can describe as cooperative. Even though our teammate perished, I am fortunate that she is still alive and well. Only 8 players remain, and we still have a lot of opponents to overcome.

I lead our squad and utilize my torch to see our paths. We're travelling slowly and carefully because the area is really dark. She isn't yelling at me or reacting violently, so I guess I'm doing okay. We attempt to travel to the next island in the hopes of finding items in the chest there. "Let's go to this location. Hey, and thank you for sticking with me. I am not very good at this game because I prefer to play other games. I just came here to have fun and play. Takahashi Fujin is my name," I stated. "I believe I've heard your name before. Your name appears to be very familiar," she stated. Maybe she recognizes it because it appears in the Arrow Void game. Perhaps she has a friend in the Arrow Void game.

When we get to the next island, we try to find the chest there. There are no helpful items there, and the only thing we can collect is food. "Is your name Takahashi Fujin?" she inquired again. She was eventually able to recall where she first heard my name. "Do you recall where you first heard my name?" I inquired. I had no idea how many people were becoming familiar with my name. I'm still not used to garnering notoriety and public attention. "Well, sure, I recall hearing your name, but it was in an unexpected situation, and meeting you here was somewhat surprising," she explained. She may be a fan, but she isn't a die-hard fan. She doesn't appear to be a fan of mine, so perhaps she just heard my name elsewhere.

"First, let's focus on this game," I remarked, "then let's have a quick chat in the lobby." We heard a footstep from behind us. She drew her sword and prepared for combat. "First, let's finish this fight," she added. A man with an axe was going to assault her, but she managed to evade it. "Hey, coward man, stop attacking a girl! Attack me if you want! " I yelled. I dash towards him, intending to s***h him with my sword, but he simply ducks to avoid it. He kicked my stomach and threw me against the wall. He's adaptable and quick. "Take care, lady!" I cautioned. Her ability is comparable to an acrobat. His frame is slender, which allows him to move more easily and quickly. He did a number of back flips and jumps.

I don't know how I'm going to fight him if he can evade our attacks. He'll just toy with us and drain us until we have no energy left, at which point he'll murder us. "Focus, we're going to discover his weak area and make sure we have an opportunity, and then we're going to kill him," she explained. I'm curious as to what his weak spot is. Another foe is approaching. We're about to be encircled by several of our foes. "We've been cornered," I declared. This is unfortunate, since we are still figuring out how to fight this individual, and now we have a new adversary. She said, "Grab my arms." Why would I take her arms in mine? "Are you going to commit suicide in the game?" I asked. That's a terrible idea. "I'm not a coward, but I can't fight them with you here."

In her hand, she materialized a pearl. That is the most expensive pearl I've ever seen. "What are your plans for that pearl?" I inquired. With her other hand, she grabbed my arm. "Just keep an eye on it," she said. She tosses the pearl to the center island. I had a strong sensation that my gut was being sliced open. When I look at my life in my hologram, I see that it has been harmed, and that my health is no longer whole. She said, "Here we are." We've been teleported to the island in the middle. I'm no longer aware of the pain. "Hey, did the pearl you threw here cause us to teleport?" I inquired. I had no idea teleportation was possible in this game. "Yes, but why? Is this your first game where you've used teleportation? ", she enquired. "Are you cheating right now?" I asked.

"I am not cheating and why would I do that? Do I resemble a hacker? ", she inquired. She doesn't appear to be a hacker, and her face and appearance are quite natural. "Then why do you have that bizarre pearl that lets people teleport within a game?" I enquired. She walked to the chest to see whether there were any items within. "Having this pearl does not imply that you are a hacker, but rather that you have been chosen by God and endowed with talent," she explained. What does she mean when she says that? So, if she says it's not cheating, I think I'll have to trust her. "Using this pearl will let you feel death for a brief moment as a trade for teleporting, which is incredible," she explained.

She believes she is a gifted individual who has been chosen by God. I've never met anybody with that kind of viewpoint. Well, I do believe that if God exists in this realm, he has a favorite among the inhabitants. People's lives are diverse here. God's blessings are very unequally distributed. In this world, there are people who are brilliant, rich, and respected, as well as people who are destitute, depressed, and despairing. How I hope that everyone can be God's favorite and be chosen to bless mankind. She pulls out a bow and arrow from the chest and tosses them at me. "I've heard you're skilled with a bow and arrow. Show me your pure talent and skills, "she stated.

"You will not be disappointed," I assured her. No one can match my confidence when it comes to wielding a bow and arrow. I am aware that I am not skilled at hand-to-hand combat, but I am an entirely different person when using a bow and arrow. When I'm holding a bow and arrow, I feel like I'm a master archer. Allow me to demonstrate my true abilities. "We've reached the middle of the island. It's in the center, surrounded by the other islands. It is also the largest island, so if someone is looking for more loot and items, I am sure they will try to place blocks here. That's when you'll fire down everybody who tries to enter the island, "she stated. That's a great idea, and it's worth a shot.

"Let's get started!" I stated. I take a good position from which I can see the island's surroundings. There are only 5 players left in the game, so we only have three enemies left. I'm hoping that everything will go as planned. I noticed that someone was attempting to enter the island. I have to do my job and show her what I'm capable of. "Someone is approaching the island, Takahashi!" she exclaimed. "Yes, I did see him! Believe me, I can do it! " I stated. In contrast to the Arrow Void game, I can try to shoot that person directly in the body. Should I shoot his head and let him fall into the void? That's far too brutal.

I extended my bowstrings and aimed for that man, but instead of shooting his head, I shot his knee, causing him to become unbalanced and tumble into the void. "Nice shot," she replied, "I knew you were skilled with that weapon." There are only two remaining foes. I need to track them down. "Takahashi, there's another one!" she exclaimed. I'm still unable to see the opponent. "Where did it go?" I exclaimed. "The other opponent is from the east of the island," she explained, "but you must act quickly since she is traveling quickly." I looked in the direction she indicated and recognized our enemy. The enemy is running while putting blocks going on this island! I tried to shoot his knees, but he managed to stand and withstand the pain instead of falling.

He gives me a look and a smile that conveys his desire to murder me. You have no right to smile at me. You must not belittle my ability. He kept running as quickly as he could. I've just gotten ruthless, which is why you're still alive, but I vow I'll kill you this time. Without hesitation, I shot his head. He came to a halt and perished as the arrow flew straight through his brain. "I did it," I declared. "Wow, you're just fantastic," she exclaimed. There is only one remaining foe. I looked around the island, but there was no one there. Is the enemy on the way to the island? We must be cautious because we did not detect any enemy presence around us. I'm curious about the enemy's whereabouts. She commanded, "Takahashi, stay focused!" I'm focused, but I'm aware that if there's a battle and the adversary managed to get closer to me, I'll be at a disadvantage. "You should concentrate as well," I advised. I'll see that enemy as well, and I'll make certain that I find him. "Hey, where are you staring?!" yelled a man. I turned around to see a man attempting to assassinate me. This is it. I'm going to die right now. She won't be able to save me because she's almost ten meters below me and I'm at the top of the tree. She leaps straight up, slashes the man's back, and kills him in one strike.
