Chapter 17: Difference

"Stop acting as if you're a saint. I know you're a good person, but there's something wrong with you. I don't have proof, but you're not the kind, sweet, protective, warm brother that everyone expects of you. I sense a great deal of rage in your heart, a desire for vengeance, "she stated. I guess I can't lie to her. Her senses are truly amazing, and she is a true Watanabe member. "So, why do you still trust me?" I inquired. "I can tell your heart is dark, but there is kindness in the midst of it. It is a bright white in the dark with pure intentions, "she stated. I'm overwhelmed by the way her senses describe my soul. I looked up at the sky and sighed, "Yes, you are most likely correct. I have good intentions and would like to serve and assist the less fortunate. I believe that they do not deserve the cruelty that the world has inflicted on them, and I am willing to become a villain if it means that I will be able to give these people a better life. " "Stop speaking like you're a hero, it doesn't suit you," she laughed. She is amusing, and talking to her makes me feel better, despite the fact that she despises me. "Do you think it's unsuitable for me?" I stated. She began laughing louder, and all I could do was pout and sit in the chair. "Why do you want to help people in the first place?" she inquired. The feeling of having nothing will never be understood by the wealthy. "I want to help people because I know how it feels to need help and have no one there to help you," I explained. I know what it's like to be nobody. I understand how it feels to be alone. I understand how it feels to be a week. I understand how it feels to be unloved and undesired.  "Actually, you don't have to assist others or act as if it's all your responsibility. When you help others, they are less inclined to help you when you are in need, "she clarifies. I don't mind if those folks refuse to assist me. I'm not looking for anything in return for the assistance I'm giving these people. They are not obligated to repay me. "I don't mind if they don't help me back," I explained. "You're such a hypocrite," she remarked. "You are wealthy, and I believe that sharing your fortune with others would be a tremendous benefit to others, so why isn't your family doing that?" I inquired. Perhaps if I were her, I would be willing to donate my fortune to others in need. People who are wealthy are greedy and dissatisfied.  "When you serve others, they become more reliant on you. The more you assist them, the more they will be unable to accomplish anything on their own. As a member of our bloodline, I've learned that poor people are the ones that are most demanding in life. They want something, but they can't come up with a good way to get it. They aspire to be someone, yet they do nothing to get there. This is the fortune of my family. My forefathers worked hard for it, and we are currently trying to protect it. It is not our responsibility to assist someone who is not willing to attempt and is frightened of taking risks in life, "she stated. She does have the mindset of a selfish, affluent person, yet what she said makes sense because I've already met individuals like that.  "I assume you have your own reasonable grounds for believing that if that's what you think," I said. It doesn't mean that just because someone is wrong, I'm right, or that just because I'm right, everyone else is wrong. We simply have a different outlook on life. "Anyway," I responded, "you lied." "Did I lie?" she inquired. In front of her mother, she lied. She denies that she likes Takahashi and says harsh things about him. "You stated you didn't like Takahashi, but instead of telling the truth, you added another lie and said you liked me rather than him," I said. "He'll never comprehend. I'm not sure why I did it, either. Maybe I'm simply overly emotional, and I'm upset, "she stated.  She should tell him the truth. Even if she was rejected, she should confess. I suppose her pride is preventing her from telling him how she truly feels. "How are you going to explain it to your mother now that she thinks I'm the guy you like?", I said. I'd like her to marry Takahashi. I can sense her self-sacrifice and her genuine concern for him. Takahashi is a little naive and obsessed with reaching his goal and discovering the truth. Saki, I believe, still has a chance with him if he confesses to Takahashi as soon as possible. "Forget it, I'll simply tell my mother that I don't like you any longer and that we just want to be friends, so she won't mention us," she said.  "Do you think your mother is going to believe you?" I inquired. Her mother isn't a moron. Saki's prior behavior indicates that she is defensive, and her anguish is obvious. "Perhaps, yes, and possibly, no. It's up to her whether she believes it or not, "she stated. It's now late at night, so I suppose I'll head to my room and sleep. "I suppose I should leave now. Is it okay if Takahashi and I share a bed? "I inquired. "Every bed in this room is extra-large. You can share a bed with Takahashi, but we also have a lot of room for visitors, so you can get your own room, "she stated. I guess I'll just have to share a bed with Takahashi, and I'll have to ask him about Saki.  "Then I'll see you tomorrow. Goodbye, "I stated. I proceed down their corridor, looking for the room where Takahashi is. Takahashi opens the door when I knock. I said, "Hey." "You terrify me," he admitted. "Do I resemble a ghost in any way? Just let me in because we'll be sharing a bed, "I stated. Maybe he's preparing to shut the door because he doesn't want to sleep with me. "Just get a different room," he said. I slammed the door open with considerable force and walked into the room. "Sleeping with someone will be pleasant," I remarked, smiling. He said, "I guess I can't prohibit you from sleeping here." He closed the door behind me and let me into the room. The room is rather large, and the bed is large enough for two people.  I take a seat on one side of the bed while he takes a seat on the other. He said, "You left us chatting with Saki's mother." I simply can't stand listening to their conversation because it makes me nauseous. "Please accept my apologies. I went upstairs to have a conversation with Saki, "I stated. When she hears Saki's name, she looks a little melancholy. "I'm delighted you spoke with her. I'm sure she needs someone like you at this point. How is she? " He inquired. He still has a worried expression on his face when he sees her. His eyes tell me that there is still room in his heart for Saki. "She is perfectly fine and has already de-stressed. I'm guessing she was overworked and in a bad mood earlier, which is why she said nasty things to you, "I stated.  "She was only kidding around earlier, and she didn't like me at all. You're aware that she tells a lot of lies at various points in her life. Don't believe what she stated previously because her mentality is difficult to forecast and understand. " I explained. It appears like he does not want to believe what I am telling him. "She appears to be serious," he observed. "She may appear serious, but she isn't. Because she informed me that I would never be her friend, believe me when I say that we are nothing but enemies. She's a jerk, "I said, chuckling. " He simply smiles at me and places his hand on my shoulder. "Please don't say that. You know that it is not impossible for her to adore someone like you. You're a cool, strong, and great individual, "he stated.  "Believe me, she won't," I said. "What about you?" Do you have feelings for her? "Are you in love with her?" I inquired. His expression shifts from amazement to shyness. "Wait! Don't tell me you like her? " I yelled. "Hey, don't be so loud!" he said, covering my lips. "Others may hear you," he warned. "People won't hear us come on," I whispered as I took his hand away from my mouth. "This area is quite spacious, with thick walls and ceilings! Just tell me! " I said. He glances away, as if he doesn't want to answer my inquiry, then returns his gaze to me. "All right, I'll tell you,", he responded, "but promise me you won't tell anyone else." "Promise I won't!" I said as I sat up straight.  He expressed his admiration for her by saying, "I like her." He paused for a moment before continuing to talk. He said, "I used to like her." They have liked each other since the beginning, but they refuse to confess it. "Wow, so what makes you like her?" I inquired. As he describes Saki, he smiles. "She is truly incredible, and she is the first person who has ever believed in and understood me." He said, "She's also a lovely and talented young lady." He likes Saki a lot, but they're both reluctant to tell each other how they really feel. "What if she also likes you?" I asked. "Why would she like someone like me?" he asked, his eyes forlorn. "She is a wealthy lady, and I am nothing. She deserves more, and I will never be the man she dreams about. "  I'm undecided about telling him the truth about Saki and how she feels about him. I have a strong desire to inform him about it and request that he pursue Saki, but I believe that I should stay out of it. They are the ones that should tell each other right away that they have always liked each other. If they still refuse to confess to each other, it is God's will for them, and no one can change it. Destiny simply does not want them to be together, and they are meant for different people. I can't go against the fate and conviction that has already been laid out for the two of them. I can only wait to see how their untold love tale unfolds. "She's six years older than me, and I'm sure she's not fond of younger boys. I'm sure she prefers older men, such as yourself. I realize I have no chance with her, which is why I have stopped liking her. " He clarifies his position. If he knew the reality, the two of them would undoubtedly have had a better narrative. "Is it because of Tori that you've stopped liking her?" I came up with the question. He tucks a blanket over himself. "Hey, am I correct?" I went on to say more. He continued to talk to me as he looked at me. "Meeting Tori was an unexpected event in my life, and meeting her was a lovely accident. When I see her, there is something unfathomable happened, he takes away all of the anguish I'm experiencing as a result of Saki. " Tori is beautiful, and she never hurts or insults Takahashi. She also cares for Takahashi, and it appears that she has no ambition and that the only thing she wants in life is to be near Takahashi. It's almost as if she's been resurrected in this world to serve Takahashi. Because of her eyes, I don't really trust her. She is a sinner. I really don't think the three of us should be hanging out with a player like her, but I don't want to be rude and appear to be passing judgment on her. She does not appear to have a malicious intent toward us, and it is true that she has no memory of her past, which is even more frightening. I believe he should not be involved with her or try to be a lover with her. I consider him to be a brother, and I don't want him to develop affections for someone who is a sinner. I don't want him to be in danger, so I'm doing everything I can to keep him safe. I should make an effort to bring Saki and Takahashi closer together so that their feelings for each other grow stronger and they confess and become lovers. Saki will be pleased, and Takahashi will be safe if I do so. Having Tori, who is a sinner, on her side can only bring him misery in his life, and he may become a sinner as well. He gave me a friendly smile and continued, "In fact, I intend to tell Tori that I love her this month. I want her to understand how I feel and how serious I am about it. I believe I want to spend the rest of my life with her alone. "
