Chapter 7: The Heir of The Clan

The arrows have tremendous lightning-like speed and are surrounded by lightning. They resemble lightning arrows that the lightning God summons. I feel like I'm going to pass out when I release it. Our opponent perished once the arrow passed through his heart. His lifeless corpse falls to the ground, and his blood and organs begin to leak out of the hole created by the arrow. "This game is won by Takahashi, Yuu, and Saki!"

Saki and Yuu, who were both present when the lightning arrow struck, were both flabbergasted. "I can't move, but wow, do you have that much power?" Yuu remarked. They're both lying down on the ground. Saki tries to sit while leaning against a rock. We began to fade away and were transferred to the lobby. Yuu began to tap my shoulders proudly, as if he were a proud brother. "When did you start using a bow and arrow? Are you a skilled archer? " Yuu had enquired. All of the compliments I'm getting make me nervous. The individuals in our immediate vicinity are still staring at me. "Actually, I've never done archery before," I admitted shyly. "More importantly, who are you?" Saki stated while staring into my eyes, as if she was questioning my very existence.

"The lightning arrow can't be used by a normal player in this world," Saki stated, giving me a serious look. "I previously told you, Saki, that I had no idea who I was," I explained. Yuu moved between us to calm her down. "Come on, if you think a typical player can't make a lightning arrow, then the one Takahashi made earlier is probably not a lightning arrow, so just relax. Let's have some fun, relax, and celebrate at Takahashi's place! " Yuu exclaimed, his face beaming. I clutched his arms as if I was telling him he couldn't come into my apartment. "No, wait," I responded, "we can't." "It's okay, don't be shy! It's not as if I'm a completely different person from you! "He went on to clarify. "Let's go have a good time!" Yuu encircled our shoulders with his arms. He insisted on forcing me to gesture in the direction of my residence. We bought liquor and munchies on our way home.

"Hey Hey!" as we were ready to enter my flat, Yuu yelled. Yuu slams the door open, indicating that he is really happy to be celebrating in my home. When the door opened, we saw Tori, who had a frightened expression on her face. Yuu's pleased expression transforms into a shocked expression. "Wait! Please hold on! You've got a wife?! There's a lady in your room! ", he yelled. "That's why I warned you we couldn't go here," I explained, palming my face.

Tori and I share a seat. "Wow! You're Takahashi's wife, right? " Yuu had enquired. "No, she isn't," I replied. "Don't worry about them, Tori," I added. "Come on, introduce us to her," Yuu replied, pouting. "That's Yuu," I responded, pointing to Yuu. "I just met him today; he's a new buddy of mine." Yuu smiles as he waves his hands at Tori. "Tori, how are you? My name is Yuu! ", he stated. Tori returns the wave with a hesitant smile. "This is Tori," I stated, "and she's staying here for a while because she doesn't have anywhere else to go.". "Hello, hey, your eyes." Yuu said. He takes a closer look at Tori's eyes to make sure. He said, "Wow, you have a different tint of eyes." Yuu doesn't seem to mind that I'm maintaining someone who is a sinner or may be considered a devil.

"What a striking eye color you have! Come on, let's rejoice in our triumph! " Yuu remarked. He filled the four glasses with liquor. "Everyone! Cheers! "He exclaimed while raising his hands and holding a tumbler of liquor. We also raised our glasses of liquor to our heads and exclaimed, "Cheers!" We shared a bottle of liquor. I'm afraid I'm going to puke. Saki, Yuu, and Tori appear to be enjoying their alcoholic beverages. This flavor is quite intense, and I'm afraid I won't be able to tolerate it. Yuu taps my back, making me want to puke even more. "Come on, let's do it! Don't be that way! Don't tell me you're going to puke after only one glass of liquor! " He yelled as though he was giving me more strength and confidence.

" It's fine with me! Let's get this party started! " I screamed with great force. He said, "That's the spirit!" We continue to drink as he fills the cups with liquor. I'm afraid I'm going to pass out. We're on our fifth shot of this stuff, and I'm starting to feel dizzy. Tori appears to be in good spirits, but Saki appears to be inebriated. We just kept drinking after Yuu filled the glass with liquor for the tenth time. I guess I'm already drunk, and I'm not in the correct frame of mind to think. "Cheers!" Yuu yelled. Our bottle of alcohol is almost empty. "I'm going out to get some more liquor," Tori stated. Tori left the apartment to go out and get more liquor, leaving the three of us.

Yuu continued to fill our glasses after Tori had departed, in order to force us to drink. I'm hoping this party is already over. I'm afraid I'm going to pass out, and I'm not even close to being balanced. "Everyone, have a drink! Greetings!" he yelled. "Cheers!" we said as a group. Saki slammed his fist into the table and said, "Oh, my goodness! This is too much for me! ".. Saki has a shocked expression on her face as she punches the table. She replied, pointing her hand at me. "You're a moron! He is a complete moron. How could you be so naive? I despise you! ".. She continues to punch my chest, but it causes no discomfort. Her punch did not appear to be intended to harm me. "Hey hey, you're already drunk," Yuu exclaimed as he stopped Saki from punching me.

"I think we should leave now," he continued, "since our friend Saki is already intoxicated." Saki was carried out of the room by him. My eyes are closing, and I'm starting to feel sleepy. I'm about to pass out, I'm going to pass out on the floor. "Hey, why are your friends gone?" a lady wondered. When I opened my eyes, I saw Tori. She had me in her arms after catching me. "Are you inebriated? If you can't drink alcohol, you should have said sooner, "she stated in a sweet, angelic tone. She assisted me with getting up and laying down in bed. While she sleeps on the floor, I sleep in my bed. I'm going to fall asleep right now because I think I'm in desperate need of sleep.

Yuu’s POV

I'm carrying Saki out of the apartment, and I didn't anticipate it to be so heavy. She may appear to be frail, yet she is causing me excruciating pain in my back. "Hey, my friend, try to stand, you're so heavy," I remarked. I place her on a bench along the roadside where we come to a halt for a minute while I stretch my back. "That hurts," I murmured as I rubbed my back. She began to cry and wiped her tears away. Is it possible that I upset her? "Hey, I'm sorry, I didn't want to insult you," I tap her on the back. "He's a moron," she declared. I'm guessing she's completely drunk. "How can he like someone else when I'm the one who's already here when he was nothing?" she asked.

"I was there! I was there when no one believed him, and I still believe him. I was there to stand up for him when no one else would. When the rest of the world saw him as a devil and a monster, I was there for him, looking at him as if he were an angel. At the time when he was terrified, I was there to protect him. I was there to love him when no one else did. I was there! He drives me insane by forcing me to do things I've never done before! What about myself? Who is going to trust me? Who will pick me? So, how about me? Who will take my side? Who is going to love me? What about me? Tell me. ", she said this while sobbing uncontrollably.

I'm at a loss for words. I'm old, yet I have no experience with love, and I'm not interested in falling in love either. All I want to do with my life is assist individuals in earning a living. I don't believe that having a companion or a wife is something I desire. I knew she liked Takahashi from the moment I saw her. It's self-evident. She shows how much she cares for Takahashi by the way she protects him. She has a firm grip on my hand as she moves it away from Takahashi, as if she is warning me not to touch the man she loves. I can tell she wants to finish the game quickly so Takahashi doesn't have to fight.

His love for Takahashi will be nothing more than an unrequited love. Takahashi is concerned about her. Takahashi's screams at our opponent when she is harmed are quite unusual and forceful. Takahashi's heart and attention are drawn to Tori, a young lady. A woman with a different hue of eyes. The lady with a dark past, a sinner who committed an unforgivable sin in her previous life. How could he prefer a girl like that to her? She's undoubtedly heartbroken because, despite everything she's done for him, she's nothing more than a friend. "Perhaps fate just doesn't want you to be with him," I patted her head.

I inquired as to where she resides, and fortunately, the locals are familiar with her and can point me in the right direction. She is well-known in this town. She must come from a well-known family. I proceeded in the direction indicated by the people. It's already late in the evening. I came to a halt at the residence mentioned by the neighbors. "What?!" I screamed. She doesn't have a home! She is the proud owner of a mansion! Oh oh, I'd better put down this female before their guards kill me! Their guards leapt from the wall, pointing samurai at my face. No! Don't get me wrong. "Hey, put your samurai down!" I remarked this while motioning them to come to a halt.

"I am your master's friend!" I screamed. "Please, please, please put your swords down!" I begged. "Put down your swords!" said a lady who came out of the gate. They follow the lady's command and lay down their weapons. As the lady approaches me, they bow to her. "Are you one of her friends? I'm Saki's mother, and it's great to meet you. Come in and eat supper in our mansion," the lady said. "Thank you!" I exclaimed as I bowed to her. As we approach the mansion, she turns her back, and I can see the letters on the back of her kimono. I looked up their clan’s name and found it to be... My legs are shivering uncontrollably! Saki comes from the Watanabe clan, a well-known ninja clan, and her name is Saki Watanabe!

We walked through a large door into their mansion. She is extremely wealthy, but she appears to be a simple woman. She probably doesn't want to flaunt her opulence to the rest of the world. She appears to be a regular person to me. "Sit down," her mother suggested. I took a seat in their chair, which is quite comfortable. Their establishment appears to be quite extravagant, and the objects on display appear to be quite pricey. "I believe my daughter has already found someone she adores," her mother stated. I was about to vomit out the tea I was drinking. Is she referring to Takahashi? Saki's mother is unaware that she is visiting a man.

"Is that true? Oh! Madam, I'm ecstatic for your daughter. " I said it with a smile on my face. I can't tell her that Takahashi is the guy her daughter likes. "Actually, we don't want to force Saki into an arranged marriage; instead, we want her to be able to choose the man she wants to marry and live with for the rest of her life," she explained. Saki's mother is lovely, and the fact that she offers her daughter freedom makes me happy for her. She inquired, "Are you the guy she likes?" I entirely spit out the tea I was sipping, and the guards brandished their swords at me because of my bad behavior. She looked at me and asked, "Would you like to marry my daughter and be the heir of our clan?".
