“Protect your side.” Cade tells her and as he tries to jab softly, she blocks him. “Now you’ve left your midsection vulnerable.” He jabs it a little and she tries to give him a punch back but he side-stepped easily going around so he was behind her. “You need to be a little faster, Doll.” He sighed when she finally turned around to face him.
“Okay.” She nodded taking her position again.
“No. You need a break.”
“I am fine.”
“We have been at this for an hour and a half.”
“I heard people trained for longer.”
“It is your second time doing any form of straineous physical activity, you need to slow down.”
“But I am so bad at this. It will take me forever to reach the level Roy would think was appropriate.”
“Forget Roy.” It was almost a growl. “You are doing alright.”
