She did not move as he went to the living room and came back with her coat and purse. He put them on her and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. “What are you doing?” She asked when he wrapped an arm around her shoulder and started leading her to the door.
“Taking you home.” He answered. His voice was whisper soft and emotionless. Like she hadn’t just poured her heart out to him.
“Cade,” She tried to fight him so she would stay.
“Doll, please.” He urged and she moved to the door herself. He unlocked the car and opened her car door but went to the driver’s side before she got in. The moment she entered and closed the door, he drove off.
