Cade stood in the middle of the room, eyes down, his hands loose and boneless beside him. His heart was like a bass drum drowning every thought, every ration. He would beg, he realized. If that was what it took. “Doll,” he questioned and when he looked u, he frowned deeply when he saw her disappear through the kitchen door. He glanced at the front door before following her and reached just as she laced the bottle in the fridge and closed the doors. His frown became even deeper. She turned to him and stepped back looking slightly startled before a blush formed on her cheeks. “It was bothering me,” she explained. “What bothered you was not all the disturbing information I gave you today but a bottle on a table. Of water, no less,” he asked and her blush deepened until she almost turned red
