There were a few things Cade had accepted he had no control over. His body and thoughts were not one of them. But just a whiff of this girl had him feeling things too intense for someone he had never met before. He was not even kissing her the right way. He kissed for the pure pleasure it gave him. And the kiss always led to something. But with her, like right then, he was kissing her to learn her. To pleasure her and her small sighs of pleasure gave him more satisfaction than he thought he could get from a kiss. But he wanted more. He pressed her to his growing d*ck and stifled a moan against the pleasure. He found himself thinking of where the closest empty classroom was. He needed to have her and if the fact that she was pulling him in was any indication, she wanted him too. He knew the perfect spot. He groaned from the loss of her lips as he pulled away and when he opened his eyes to find hers still closed and chewing on the sides of her lips, he groaned again before his lips met hers again. Her lips were addicting. He nibbled her bottom lip, sucked it in his mouth, and then touched her tongue with his lightly. Not pushing far. He tried to pull away but her shy tongue entered his mouth and this time, he forced himself to pull away before he took her against the school pillar. He was sure even he would not get away with that one if it was brought to the disciplinary committee. Plus, this girl did not look like the type that got into trouble. He did not want to be the cause of her detention. “You, are something else,” He told her breathing hard and she looked up at him from beneath her long dark lashes, not quite meeting her eyes. “Who are you?” He asked. If he planned to f*ck the girl senseless, the least he could do was know her name. “Paige.” She answered, her voice shy. “Paige.” He tested the name on his tongue, “You don’t look like a Paige.” “What?” She was too flustered to make any other reply. “You are like a doll.” He claimed and she bit her lip as she felt heat rush up toward her face. His gaze gravitated toward the spot and he wanted to chew on it for her. He breathed in to steady himself. Why was he so hormonal? Teenage hormones never bothered him before. With the type of training he had, his self-control was top-notch. But he did not feel that way just then. “Do you remember me, Doll?” He asked and when she started to shake her head, he warned “Don’t lie.” She nodded “How?” “I…I…,” She looked around as if for a saving grace and she found one when the bell for the next period rang “I have Physics.” She stated side stepping him but he blocked her way. She looked at her shoes as she explained “I have an assignment and we have a quiz and…,” He sealed her lips with his. A soft kiss. Just lips and no tongue. He counted to five then pulled away. “See you later,” He told her, and then he walked away toward the gardens instead of his classes. She was not surprised. Though her stalking had been minimal, she had stalked him enough to know that there was no way he made the 75% attendance required to pass a class. Yet, none of the teachers gave him sh*t about it. She hadn’t quite figured out why yet. Just as she hadn’t figured out why, in the space of three days, Kincaid Martinez had kissed her four times. She finished the school day the same way she had started it. Confused. She plugged in her earphones as she settled down on the bus. It made her feel less lonely when she didn’t have to hear every other person chatting excitedly to their friends about how the day went. She did not have any friends to chat with. Someone tapped her shoulder and she turned expecting to see a shy freshman, probably male wanting to ask permission before sitting next to her. Instead, she was met by eyes the color of autumn leaves and a too-wide smile. She said the grace internally before removing her earphones. “Paige,” The girl said before she could talk, “I did not see you at the party last Friday.” “I um…I had some work,” She replied honestly though she admitted to herself that that was not the reason she had decided to stay as far away from Bonnie Wilson. “You always have some work. Tell you what, I am hosting another party. On Saturday this time and you are invited.” “I work weekends.” Paige answered “The party starts at eight so you should be done.” “I just…,” “Be there,” Bonnie told her in a voice that left no room for argument. “I wouldn’t want people to think you don’t come to parties because you were pregnant and scared that they would spike your drink.” If anybody else had told her that, she might have thought they were joking but she knew just as everybody in the school knew that Bonnie Wilson could start and spread a rumor like nobody’s business. She wanted people to see her but definitely not in that light. “I will try to leave early.” “Perfect.” Bonnie clapped once then headed to her seat. Paige heard her tell her friends that she was coming but her earphones were back in her ears before she could hear their cackle-like chuckle. * When he said see you soon, Paige had assumed that Cade would show up at her doorstep or come in through the window or something but as she glanced at the clock beside her bed for the third time in five minutes, she realized he was not coming. There was no normal human that would wait till it was midnight before deciding to… The doorbell rang and she was out of bed immediately. She skipped several steps in an attempt to get to the door quicker but when she did, her excitement faded to fear upon seeing the military officer there. She had seen visits like that on TV and they never ended well. Her heart began to speed and she found it hard to breathe even before he spoke a word. “Paige Miller?” He asked and she forced herself to nod. When he smiled at her, she almost wept with relief. He couldn’t be smiling if he was there to deliver news of a death. “I am Sergeant Roy June, your brother is my direct superior,” He told her providing an I.D. and she took a glance at it. “Oh. Hello. Would you like to come in?” “I cannot. It is late. I am sorry to bother you at this time but I have been busy and I was asked to deliver this to you.” He handed her a neat brown envelope “Um…Thank you.” “Of course. Your brother asked me to check up on you so I will come by again sometime during the week.” He told her and when she frowned a bit at the sky, his smile returned “Earlier than this of course.” “Okay.” She answered and he nodded at her. “Good night.” She waited till he got in his car and left before she started to retreat into her house. As she pulled the door closed, a hand grabbed unto it preventing its closure, and she gasped, dropping the envelope.
