“Tell me why the human body needs this many nerves,” Ethan groaned dramatically, dropping his forehead against the table. “Like honestly. This feels excessive.”
I laughed quietly as I highlighted a line in my textbook. “You’re becoming concerningly emotional over anatomy.”
“I’m serious,” he said, lifting his head to glare at the open textbook in front of him. “Whoever designed the brachial plexus deserves jail time.”
Across the table, another student snorted.
“It’s literally our second week of serious coursework,” Maya said. “You’re already losing it.”
“I lost it three quizzes ago.”
