(Clara) I spent the entire morning convincing myself that everything was fine. Unfortunately, I was a terrible liar. The first lie came when I told myself I wasn't thinking about the kiss. The second came when I told myself I wasn't nervous about seeing Professor Hart again. The third came when I stood in front of my closet for fifteen minutes trying to decide what to wear and somehow convinced myself that was completely normal behavior. By the time I arrived on campus, I was already annoyed. Mostly with myself. A sensible person would've forgotten about the entire thing. A sensible person would've focused on classes, assignments, and literally anything else. Instead, my brain had apparently decided to become my greatest enemy. The morning lectures passed slowly.
