I stared at Helena as she quietly stared her cup of coffee. She had been quiet since she got back from dinner with Keith.
No, she had ranted madly when she came back that I was scared she would wake up Nathan.After that day, she had been very quiet.
I gave her some space because I knew that she wanted to process her thoughts and make her decisions but I felt like it was time to talk to her.
“Are you alright, darling?” I asked her, grateful that it was very early in the morning so we didn’t have to prepare Nathan for school yet or ourselves for work even though I had a big opening to prepare for.
