Some of the lesser known figures of Russian history during the last days of the Romanov dynasty are presented in this book, and I found researching them to be fascinating. I’ve attempted to portray most of the history of the last days of Tsar Nicholas II and his family in an accurate, albeit truncated, manner.
As for the “Black Princesses,” their lives after the revolution were quite different from the soldier/vampire drama presented in the book, although Princess Militsa actually was a student of the Black Arts, particularly hermeticism, which is basically alchemy surrounded by mysticism.
